Unfortunately this is something that happens all the time and will never change. Lack of knowledge and understanding from general public can cause some terrible situations.

However it’s a common event when out walking in public, as a dog trainer I would love to say it doesn’t happen but it does so train for it!

It seem’s to be that people think getting clever breeds makes training easier.
That’s unfortunately is not true, yes they pick up training quicker but they are always 3 steps ahead.
Training you before you get a chance to train them.
They also need more from you otherwise they will find what they need from the environment.

💥 Dog love consistency not routine! 💥

They love to know they are going to get fed twice a day, walked and trained.
But when you have set routines and do things at set times they can then start to build anticipation which in some dogs can cause unwanted behaviours!

This handsome chap had his first 1:1 today and he was amazing but I am biased since I love the breed 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
