Plenty of clean, fresh water, room temp is fine, no need for ice as this can be equally as dangerous.

3 CHRISTMAS DAY PUPPY TIPS.

1. HAVE A SNIFFY WALK
Sniffing helps dogs to decompress and unwind and be their calmest selves, so put away the ball thrower and instead take your pup on a Christmas sniffy walk. Don't worry about how far you walk - think of it as an experience for your dog rather than it being a step count. Sniffing is tiring for dogs so it will help your four-legged friend get some rest later.


2. HAVE SOME KONGS PREPARED
Frozen KONGS last longer than unfrozen KONGS so if you can freeze a couple ahead of time, you will be prepared on the day. You can fill the bottom with kibble or chunks of chicken and filling the rest with wet food before sealing the top with some peanut butter or cream cheese.


3. SCATTER FEED WHEN GUESTS ARRIVE
The energy when guests arrive can really go up. Especially on Christmas day. Dogs are super sensitive to any increase in energy so instead of letting your pup meet your guests during that first few high-energy minutes, you can scatter feed some dry food or treats in another room until the excited greetings are over with.

If you want to protect your floor then snuffle mats are great for this.
