❗️We’re Hiring❗️

Due to expanding we are now looking for more members to join our team! Foxfields is a therapeutic riding centre based in Horwich, that specifically caters for clients with varying disabilities and additional needs.

The job role will include all aspects of yard work including but not limited to mucking out, tacking up, filling haynets, preparing feeds, grooming horses, turning out, poo-picking fields and tack cleaning.

Teaching experience isn’t essential but there maybe the opportunity to teach for the right candidate. There may also be the opportunity to ride/accompany hacks out.

The applicant needs to have a great, positive attitude towards their work, complete tasks to a high professional standard, work independently using their own initiative and have excellent communication skills.

Training will be provided so the applicant must be willing to learn and adapt to our unique facility. A first aid and/or safeguarding qualification would be advantageous.

This is a rare opportunity to join our small team, working with a lovely team of horses and ponies. The job itself is physically demanding, but is very rewarding.

Salary is dependant on experience. Ideally looking for someone that is available to work Monday/Wednesday and alternate Sundays but would consider other availability. Hours flexible (approx 10 hours per week) This would be on a self-employed basis. Would consider more than one person sharing the role, please state days available on your email. Must be 18+

Last week we were lucky enough to take a group of our volunteers to the Merseyside Mounted Police Unit. They had a tour of the stables, met all the horses and were shown all the different equipment, the huge horseboxes and all the facilities. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learnt lots - big brave police horses still love lots of attention and scratches too! 🐴

£50 per rider, places are limited. Riders must be confident in walk, trot and canter to attend. This is for your own safety as no one walks on foot.
