An exciting opportunity has come up to join our team. Foxfields is a therapeutic riding centre based in Horwich, that specifically caters for clients with varying disabilities and additional needs.
The job role will include all aspects of yard work including but not limited to mucking out, tacking up, filling haynets, preparing feeds, grooming horses, turning out, poo-picking fields and tack cleaning. A competent rider is desirable to help with working horses and accompanying hacks. Teaching experience is essential, ideally a minimum of BHS Stage 2 Teach or equivalent experience. The applicant needs to have a great, positive attitude towards their work, complete tasks to a high professional standard, work independently using their own initiative and have excellent communication skills.
The applicant must have experience working with clients with additional needs/disabilities, although not expected to have done this specifically.
Training will be provided so the applicant must be willing to learn and adapt to our unique facility. A first aid and/or safeguarding qualification would be advantageous.
This is a rare opportunity to join our small team, working with a lovely team of horses and ponies. The job itself is physically demanding, but is very rewarding.
Salary is dependant on experience. Hours Wednesdays 9.30am-2.30pm, Fridays 9.30am-2.30pm & Saturdays 8am-1pm. Opportunity for more hours if desired. This would be on a self-employed basis. Would consider more than one person sharing the role, please state days available on your email.

Today Foxfields turns 2! 🎉 What a year it’s been! Thank you as always to all our lovely clients, you really are the best.
