🩷🐶🩵 𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗖𝗛 𝗦𝗠𝗢𝗢𝗖𝗛 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞! 🩵🐶🩷

Who’s going to be the first to come and get their photo taken in our new and improved pooch smooch?!

This little doggy is clearly very proud of her mums painting skills 🤣💁🏼‍♀️ Did you know we try to hand make and hand paint as much of our agility equipment as possible?

We’ve a busy weekend with lots of sunshine forecast so the doggy pool will definitely be out!

We also have:

🚰 Fresh clean water on tap to keep water bowls and our doggy pool topped up

🌡️ We are higher up so generally it is a few degrees cooler at the field and there’s usually a good breeze but still take caution

🧊We will always have fresh water at the field as well as nearby streams if anyone wants to cool off

🐛 Early bird catches the worm so if you’d like to book an early morning or late evening slot instead we’re open from sunrise to sunset to beat the heat

🌳 We have trees surrounding the field with the bottom end being particularly shaded

🏖️ Shade can also be found under our agility equipment, inside our tunnel and in our field shelter

🚘 Try not to arrive too early for your booking to limit the time spent for pooches in hot cars

🦴 Bring frozen dog treats and damp towels to help cool your dog down

⏰ If you do arrive early and want to get your dog out of the car try to stay at the top end of the car park away from any potentially reactive dogs on the field. This is also where a stream can be found to cool off

☎️ At least one member of our family is on site 24/7 to call if an emergency does occur

❤️‍🩹 All of our family are canine first aid trained

🗓️ Try to plan ahead by checking the forecast. If you know your dog is not good in the heat then message us to rearrange your booking

🌾 We’ve given our field a fresh mow to keep the grass nice and short - long grass especially when seeding can be very dangerous for pooches eyes

📑 We have full planning permission and insurance which is very important to check when booking a dog field especially if you have a banned breed

🚗 We have our own privately owned large car parking area next to the field away from busy roads

💰 We charge £5 per half an hour for use of our field this is for up to 4 dogs (£1 per extra dog over the number of 4)

🐾 We first opened in 2017 so we have over 7 years experience

🏆 We’ve been voted the best dog field in Lancashire!

❤️ We accept XL Bullies and banned breed subject to our insurers conditions (please message before booking with a banned breed though)

✅ We check our field daily to ensure there’s no litter, dog waste and that the fence is still up to scratch

📋 We have full planning permission to operate our secure dog field business

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is a real family business with everyone playing their part

🌳 Everything with our field is done by ourselves from building it, repairing it, making agility equipment, maintaining it and taking bookings

☝🏻 When you book our field you get the whole field to yourselves unless you invite friends

🙋🏼‍♀️ We try to meet and greet every single one of our new customers just to make sure everything is okay for them (Nothing at all to do with wanting to meet everyone’s pooch 😉)

🔒 The field is fully secured once the gate is shut

🐩 Our field is fenced with very small gapped mesh fencing so the tinniest of pooches can’t escape

🦒 Our fence is a 6 foot high mesh fence that surrounds the whole field

🚧 The fence around the field is also buried as we know pooches love to dig and can sometimes try to dig themselves out of the field

🚗 We have our very own hard standing secure car park right next to the field which means you can park right next to the gate into the field

🎡 When you book our field you not only get a secure field but we also have various agility equipment inside the field that is free to use

🧺 There’s a picnic bench located inside the field

🧊 We have a fresh water supply to the field

☔️ There’s a shelter inside the field for when you get caught up in our typical Bolton weather

👎🏻 There is no hidden terms and conditions when booking our field if the weather changes or plans get in the way we are more than happy to change your booking for you

🏪 We live on site so that means that someone is available 24/7 in case of emergency

We’ve had a busy early morning here at Skipadoos welcoming our morning visitors! Look how great our field is looking! 😍

🦴 More new agility equipment has been added to the field!

🏖️ Our doggy pool is out to keep those pooches cool

🌲 Trees surrounding the field are giving plenty of cool shade

🚰 We now have fresh running water down at the field to keep all those pooches hydrated

🕶️ For the hoomans the picnic bench is out for the sunbathers and for those that prefer the shade our field shelter is perfect!

🍦 There’s also an ice cream shop across the road for an added Saturday treat!

So who was watching ITV’s In For A Penny with Stephen Mulhern this evening? You might have recognised one of the filming locations!

Back in June we had a VERY exciting day hosting the filming for the show! It was great to meet all the filming crew and we had a great laugh with Stephen himself! (We think little Pep dog liked him best though 🤣🐶)

Please remember it is not us setting these rules but the government and our insurers. Failure to follow the rules will result in banned breeds not being accepted at our field.

This is our livelihood and a dogs life you are putting at risk by not following the rules. So please read carefully before bringing a banned breed to Skipadoos.

EVERYONE MUST FOLLOW OUR RULES THERE IS NO EXCEPTIONS!

Our insurers have stated :

🐶 The dog must be registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.

🐶 A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.

🐶 The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times

🐶 The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules

🐶 The dog is Micro Chipped

🐶 The field is securely fenced and locked so the dog cannot escape. This is up to the person bringing the dog to our field to ensure.

🐶 The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field

🐶The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field
You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field

🐶 If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together, but the banned breed dog must have its own handler and then another member of the same household needs to be present to supervise the other dogs. If there is more than 1 banned breed in the household they can come together but each dog must have its own handler.

‼️ Please be aware that not all secure fields have planning permission or their own insurance so be very vigilant when booking places. Our insurance has stated that a banned breed would not be covered if the field concerned doesn’t have these. ‼️

❤️ We are still closed until the weather improves to protect our field and for our customers safety.

❤️ When we do reopen we will be allowing XL Bully’s onto our field subject to our insurers conditions. We will do a post on this closer to the time with all the information.

❤️ We really are missing all those smiling faces and wagging tails just as much as they’re missing us! As soon as we can we will be reopening!

In the nearly 7 years we’ve been open we’ve never been busier so thank you so much to every single one of you that has visited our field with their four legged friends!

Unfortunately though we don’t think it’s ever rained as much so we’ve made the decision to temporarily close the field to give the ground a rest.

We know many of you don’t mind the mud but we don’t want our field to get to the point it’s dangerous or to cause irreparable damage to the land.

We are hoping to open on frosty and snowy days so keep an eye on our social media pages for announcements. 💩 P**p perpetrators beware! 💩

Every morning, every evening and between customers we check our field for poo. We even provide lots of free poo bags and a bin to dispose of them. Something that many dog field owners don’t do!

However it is becoming increasingly obvious that some of our costumers think they’re exempt from one of our main rules of always picking up your pooches p**p!

It doesn’t matter if you:

💩 “Forgot your poo bags” - We provide lots of free ones

💩 “It looks sloppy it’ll wash away in the rain” - It’s still a poo that needs removing

💩 “Someone else will pick it up” - That’s just being a selfish dog owner

💩 “You have lots of dogs in the field so can’t watch them all at once” - Let them in one at a time to do their business or bring someone to help you keep an eye on them

💩 “I was too busy looking at my phone” - Put it down for half an hour and enjoy being outdoors

💩 “I’m too posh to pick up poo” - WRONG if you think this you’re an idiot

⭐️ IF YOU SEE YOUR DOG DO A NUMBER TWO YOU HAVE YO PICK UP THE POO! ⭐️

We pride ourselves on having the best dog field in Lancashire we try our best to keep it well maintained and we know that not every p**p can be found but the amount missed in the last week is just ridiculous.

We tried putting up signs but they clearly don’t work…

…So we’re asking for our customers help. We know who every single customer is that uses our field and the time in which they use it. If when you’re using the field you spot a large number of missed 💩’s then drop us a message on Facebook, Instagram or call/ text us on 07946 880174. Even better when you see us pop down to the field to greet you or check the field let us know then so we can identify who is and who isn’t the p**p perpetrators at Skipadoos!

We want to make the field an enjoyable experience for everyone so help us keep it that way!

Sorry for the very long rant I never thought I’d have to write such a long post on 💩! We do know we have some amazing customers that think nothing of removing other peoples waste from the field so thank you very much to all of you!

🚗 Free car parking right next to the field

💩 Providing free poo bags

🎡 Continuing to add new agility equipment

🐾 Regular maintenance of the field from mowing to repairing equipment

🗑️ Checking the field for litter and 💩 mornings, evenings and between customers

🏪 Someone being on site 24/7 to offer assistance in case of an emergency

📄 Making sure we have all the correct planning permissions

💦 Providing fresh water on the field

📢 Helping with advice

❤️‍🩹 Everyone in our family being canine first aid trained

💰 Keeping our prices as low as they were when we opened in 2017

🐶 Treating your pooches as if they were one of our own!

😻🐶 It doesn’t rain cats and dogs at Skipadoos… it just rains (A LOT) then all the pooches come play in it! 🐶😻

This face says it all but that definitely doesn’t stop the fun at our field though!

☔️ We have a shelter located inside the field

🚗 A hard standing car park so you can drive right up to our field entrance

🚰 A hose next to the gate so you can wash muddy paws off

🐾 Please do remember to bring towels to wipe pooches down though

🥾 We also advise to wear wellies or boots

Unfortunately as we get ever closer to winter the mud really isn’t something we can avoid especially with the weather against us but as we see it a muddy field is a sign of a well used and loved field so thank you everyone for continuing to visit us and keeping us so busy!

Happy pooch of the month day!

This months pooch of the month has been one of the hardest to choose, we’ve been very busy on the field and had so many great entries so we’d like to start by saying a big thank you to everyone that has visited us 🐶❤️

🎁 We have our very own car park right next to the field for the hoomans to park up

🥳 Our planning permission for our field has no limit on the number of dogs that can be on the field at once

🎁 Fully secure so no pooch can escape the excitement of the pawty

🥳We have a picnic bench inside the filed

🎁 There’s lots of fun agility equipment including our new tunnel

🥳Lots of great photoshoot opportunities

🎁 There’s an ice cream shop across the road for an extra birthday treat
