Thank you for your support! Moderation guidelines
The RSPCA is here for animals and we’d love our page to reflect this. There are so many important animal welfare messages to get across and discussions to be had; we’ve got a few guidelines to ensure all this important stuff doesn’t get lost! To help us keep animal welfare at the top of the agenda, please don’t post any:

• violent, obscene, profane, hateful, or racist posts, links or images
• comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation
• solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements of any financial, commercial or not-for-profit organisations.
• comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity
• multiple successive off-topic or disruptive posts
• repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated
• posts containing specific details about cruelty cases (these should be reported to the cruelty line on 0300 1234 999, rather than posted here)
• posts which we feel may potentially impact upon prosecutions. Where an investigation is considered ‘active’, any comments made about the case may mean someone facing charges might not be in a position to have a fair trial and the trial could collapse. We reserve the right to delete any of these types of comments, or ban any user who infringes these guidelines. In addition to this, individuals who seek to persistently antagonise our supporters, and accounts which are suspected to be false profiles created with the intention of breaching a ban and persistently antagonising RSPCA supporters, will be removed from the page.

We couldn't miss the opportunity to share our Wicked puppies ahead of the new Wicked: For Good film release💚

These young Staffie cross Collies came into RSPCA Hull & East Riding Branch via an inspector, and despite their tough start in life, they are now full of fun, confidence, and energy, ready for loving homes worthy of Oz!

The enchanting Glinda and Emerald are currently reserved, but Elphie, Ozzy, Nessa, and Fiyero are still waiting to discover their destiny!

Could you be the one to give them their next adventure? Read their rehoming profiles in detail: https://bit.ly/3X2SxmN

We rescued 37 cats from a breeder in Hampshire, many of whom were suffering from welfare issues and deformities due to extreme breeding 😿

Sphynx, Munchkin, Bambino and Devonshire Rex cats were being kept in small, dirty pens, and several of the Bambino cats had severe limb deformities and incredibly narrow ear canals.

Not only that, but we found that five of the cats were pregnant, resulting in multiple kittens born in care at a time when we are already struggling for space. All of the cats came to us and Cats Protection, where they got some much-needed TLC before being rehomed.

We'd also like to say an enormous thank you to The Cat Welfare Group and The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre, who were instrumental in supporting our investigation and rehabilitating other cats in connection to this report 👏

We would always recommend adopting where possible but if you're looking to buy a cat, please use the Kitten Checklist, and choose pets with welfare rather than just looks in mind: https://bit.ly/3LWlhLD

Earlier this year, Becca conquered the mighty TTP Cambridge Half Marathon, representing Team Animal 🏃‍

Becca raised vital funds to help create a better world for every kind.

We are forever grateful to everyone who takes on these challenges for animal welfare. Your efforts don't go unnoticed, from every mile in training, to every pound raised.

Hedgehogs are nocturnal animals, so seeing one out in the day during cold weather is often a cause for concern! 🦔

A significant number of dogs can never experience a life worth living because they've been bred for looks over welfare.

Today, the All-Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare, for which we provide the secretariat, is launching an assessment tool to help people gauge whether a dog's conformation (physical structure) is inherently healthy and suitable for breeding.

If backed by the Government for incorporation into breeding licensing regulations, this has the potential to eventually stop puppies from being born with these preventable health issues.

Who else fell in love with Stewie, Huey and Louie in our Omaze UK launch video? 🙋

This adorable trio, who were abandoned at just one week old, joined actor, Asa Butterfield in the video for the launch of the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Lake District worth £4.5 million

When they first came to us, these kittens were underweight, in need of round-the-clock bottle feeding and Huey had a swollen eye.

Now named Bagheera, Baloo and Louie, the trio have been successfully rehomed together, with a family in Surrey and have settled in perfectly. However, none of this would've been possible without our team's care and rehabilitation work.

Find out how this partnership will help us provide more rehabilitation that neglected animals so urgently need: https://goto.omaze.co.uk/4hNsAkz
