Thank you for your support! Moderation guidelines
The RSPCA is here for animals and we’d love our page to reflect this. There are so many important animal welfare messages to get across and discussions to be had; we’ve got a few guidelines to ensure all this important stuff doesn’t get lost! To help us keep animal welfare at the top of the agenda, please don’t post any:

• violent, obscene, profane, hateful, or racist posts, links or images
• comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation
• solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements of any financial, commercial or not-for-profit organisations.
• comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity
• multiple successive off-topic or disruptive posts
• repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated
• posts containing specific details about cruelty cases (these should be reported to the cruelty line on 0300 1234 999, rather than posted here)
• posts which we feel may potentially impact upon prosecutions. Where an investigation is considered ‘active’, any comments made about the case may mean someone facing charges might not be in a position to have a fair trial and the trial could collapse. We reserve the right to delete any of these types of comments, or ban any user who infringes these guidelines. In addition to this, individuals who seek to persistently antagonise our supporters, and accounts which are suspected to be false profiles created with the intention of breaching a ban and persistently antagonising RSPCA supporters, will be removed from the page.

Heartbreakingly, we received 1,355 reports of animals entangled in netting in 2024 alone 💔

Many of these innocent animals suffer fatal injuries which could have easily been avoided if precautions were taken.

Stand up for wildlife and sign the petition calling for a law to make it mandatory for sports netting to be secured when not in use: https://bit.ly/43L84uq

ADOPTED 😊

Bobo is a 6-year-old, 3-legged, small (4.6kg) Chihuahua cross who has come into our care through no fault of her own.

She is a happy, fun, cheeky, and loving little dog who will make a great companion dog for a single person, couple, or family.

Bobo is still very active despite only having 3 legs. It really doesn't hold her back in any way, shape, or form. She still loves her walks/adventures and to go off and investigate things.

She is playful with toys and will play chase with her ball and is like a little rocket when she sets off. Bobo can shout at other dogs when out on walks, but she can socialise.

She has lived with other dogs in her previous home (one of which was a large breed), so dog introductions can be done. She can be bossy at times when she first meets new dogs, but once she knows them, she is fine and likes to play, but it does take her a while to warm up to them.

She has done well on her cat tests, but we are saying confident cats only as she will give chase if the cats run.

Bobo has been around children, so older sensible dog savvy children will be considered.

Once settled, Bobo can be left for sensible periods of time with no problems but would like someone around most of the time until she is used to her new home.

She is house trained and travels well in the car.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY EXISTING PET'S IN THE HOME MUST ALREADY BE NEUTERED*

If you can offer Bobo a forever loving home, please message the page directly.

A mother cat ended up separated from her five kittens when they were dumped in a cardboard box in Chatham, Kent on 10th June. A resident made the discovery when the box was left on their doorstep, but the mum and one kitten escaped when the box was opened 😿

After nearly 24 hours, the mum was found hiding in the resident's house, but sadly two of her kittens have since passed away. RSPCA-Canterbury and District Animal Centre is now providing round-the-clock care to the surviving kittens - Arwen, Gimli and Frodo, and their mum who has been named Galadriel.

If anyone has any information about how this poor family came to be abandoned, or if anyone saw anything in the area, please contact our appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
