Pike Moor Vets Pike Moor Vets is an independent small animal veterinary practice serving parts of the Bolton, Wigan and Chorley districts.

We have two surgeries, one in Horwich and one in Westhoughton. The surgery has grown steadily over that last 30 years, constantly developing and improving the diagnostic and treatment facilities we can offer to our patients and clients. Care is provided by qualified Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Veterinary Nurses and dedicated and experienced support staff at two surgeries, one in Horwich and one

in Westhoughton. The surgery offers a wide range of diagnostic, treatment and surgical facilities in addition to annual health checks and vaccines, preventative health care advice, neutering and microchip implantation. Free nurse clinics are available for weight clinics, puppy clinics and kitten clinics. We can also offer advice on a range of behavioural and anxiety problems suffered by domestic pets.

NOTICE TO OUR CLIENTS REGARDING TOMORROW - SATURDAY 1st FEB.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the clinic for tomorrow will be at the Horwich Surgery. The Westhoughton Surgery will be closed tomorrow and will reopen on Monday as normal. For enquiries between 8.30am - 12.30noon tomorrow please call 01204 694004.
If you have ordered a prescription to be collected tomorrow and you would like to collect it from Horwich please give us a quick call to ensure we move it for you.

Did you know reptiles need dental care too?

Last week the wonderful Muechi came in to see us for a dental procedure after gum disease was noted at a general health check.

Muechi had a scale and polish and dental radiographs under a general anaesthetic. Luckily there wasn't any bone involvement so keeping on top of dental hygiene should help the stomatitis resolve.
We recommend getting your reptiles health checked at least once a year so we can pick up on any concerns.
If you have a reptile that could do with a check up make sure to give us a call!

Here we have the gorgeous Annie, who volunteered to help our student nurse, Shannon, practice her bandaging skills. Don't worry, she was well paid in treats and cuddles! 💝

Gorgeous little Daisy came and visited our Horwich branch today to be neutered ❤️
This is the operation where we remove her ovaries and uterus. This is not only important to stop reproduction but also to stop nasty infections and prevent certain cancers. 💝
Daisy was really brave and stole the hearts of all our team members!
