Well this is it..Nigel’s Pet Supplies closed yesterday for the last time..

I just want to thank every single customer who have shopped with me for the last 34 years!! We have had some huge laughs and sadly some huge tears..

I really still can’t believe it is real..

On a hugely positive note Suzzane,a personal friend of mine,has opened a pet supplies store across the street between the opticians and Eric Clarke’s using all the same suppliers as I did.. Please give her the support you have given me as she will need you all to keep her business going forward.

I will miss every single one of you..I really do have the best customers in the world.

THANK YOU - YOU ALL MEAN THE WORLD TO ME ❤️

I have experienced every emotion in the last 48 hours..
The shop was broken into in the early hours of yesterday morning breaking through the security gate,shutter and the then the door.

They got away with a small amount of cash and dog collars and leads but the damage they left was enormous.

During yesterday evening I was made aware that Beccy Wheeler and Nicole Wilson had set up a just giving page in order to raise money to cover the cost of the repairs and stolen stock. The response to this page by your donations and comments has genuinely overwhelmed me and brought me to tears.

I want to thank Beccy and Nicole from the bottom of my heart and to everyone else who have been so generous with their comments,donations and offers of help.

I really do have the BEST customers and friends in the whole world ❤️

Just an update after the government’s latest announcement.

My self isolation period ends on Sunday 8th November,
I plan to reopen the shop and delivery service on Monday the 9th November as we fall into the category of essential retailing, observing the government guidelines on social distancing and the use of face coverings.

I really look forward to seeing you all and thank you so much for your kind words and support ❤️

We all know that we have to wear masks in more public places now, so why not keep safe and at the same time help animals that are struggling.

This wonderful lady ( tagged in comments ) spends most of her days helping and rescuing helpless cats. She traps , fosters , finds new homes and takes them to veterinary appointments and it’s all funded by donations and purchases made by all you ❤️

She is currently selling amazing masks in different designs and sizes , prices start at £5.99 and all proceeds go towards helping the cats . And also free postage 👍

As of today; I’ve re-opened the Shop. Hours have slightly changed: I’ll be open Daily 10-3pm (excluding Sunday).

Please Note; due to Social Distancing, all customers will be served at the front of the shop. Please remain 2 meters apart from each other, should a queue form outside.

Those self-isolating are still welcome to order a Home Delivery, min spend £10 and a 3 mile radius

It’s with such a heavy heart, but I’ve made a decision to temporarily close the shop and delivery service, from today to protect the safety of myself, staff and customers.

We all hope that this will only be for a short period of time and we will all get through this very soon.
