“Why so much luring”🐾
Because eventually we want to just use the command & the dog knows their position”Foundation in dog training is so important! Basics first. Get the dog interested, make it fun & use those treats , replace that meal because eventually you are going to see the balance within your dogs training🐾
Sonny’s focus is fab with or without distractions , consistency is key🤩
Sonny is sometimes a little distracted with the heel position due to smells etc so this is something we need to focus on whether that be in the house ,the garden & out on walks. Off & on lead🐕
Loves his ball & loves working for it😍🐾👏. #Cockerspaniel #6monthsold
Sonny enjoying the horse jumps today🙈🤣✌️🐾
Working on some ‘sits’ last night with Sonny & lead pressure, learning ‘sit’ means ‘sit’ even with pressure on the lead, distractions & distance.
Wait on that release cue🙌💙🐾
🌙🌕🐾
Since I forgot to post this morning & afternoons walkies , a video of the doggies running about chasing bunnies & all the other scents tonight🙈😆❤️
Morning walks with all the soggy doggies🐾☔️😆
Waits around lots of distractions. The boys playing, trains going by etc🙌 Sonny’s doing great , consistency is key🐾💙
Some training with Sonny tonight. Pressure & release on lead, heeling position & stops & sits🐾Great reinforcement method to teach your dog the pressure of the lead, your dog wants to go that way gets to the end of the lead you’re recalling your dog going the opposite way🐾 heeling position in there too & some stops & sits❤️ This clip was around distractions in a built up area🙌 great exercise to work on indoors too✌️🐶
Impulse control👌🏼🐾
Working on some waits today around distractions with Autumn ,this is basic & a gradual process with Autumn as she knows what you want her to do & can do it however refreshing it is good as she can get excited & break position❤️
Such a gorgeous happy girl😍
Sonny working for his breakfast this morning😎 teaching “place” somewhere for sonny to go when we have visitors, somewhere for him to relax & hold position until release command “break”. Just started working on this command last night & you can see Sonny is now holding position waiting on release cue🐾
Sonny is also crate trained, his crate is his “bed” & a place to relax whilst in the living room etc is his “place”. Fair to say Sonny likes both👌🏼
Snuffle mat at the end to work his nose💙
