Top tip for walking your pony up during their assessment ๐
Squeezing and wringing through the top of the neck targeting the rhomboids, splenius and the crevical trapezius ๐คฉ
Tension in this area can present as evading contact through the bit, difficulty with lateral flexion; corners and bending, and feeling "heavier" in one hand ๐ฑ
This is a common area for tension and can be helped by regular bodywork and... a check of your bit and bridle! ๐ฅฐ
Contact me to see how bodywork and the correct bit/bridle fit can give your horse that little bit extra TLC ๐ฅฐ because they are worth it!

Bobโs been on the balance pads! Just like us, he has one leg stronger than the other. This is his best leg. Look how his pectorals twitch as he moves his head ๐คฉ balance pads are fantastic to help improve proprioception, muscle tone and strengthen after injury.
Itโs harder than it looks, I canโt balance on my left leg ๐

๐คTodayโs bit fitting appointment got me thinking ๐ค I canโt fix everything with a new bit, as much as Iโd love to wave a wand, it sometimes just doesnโt work like that. Sometimes all I can do is recommend the best option, or two, that I can and then reconvene after your horse has had some bodywork or itโs saddle checked or the dentistโฆ Bit fitting is a great process to go through but, like everything else, canโt just work on its own ๐๐ So, how can these two services sit nicely into one simple package? ๐ค

I took a well earned day off today with my lovely Western client, & friend, Kelsey MacDonald and went to watch super speedy Quarter Horses work cows!
These horses are incredible, we saw some fabulous riding skills and who knew a horse that is โcow-eyโ is a good thing?!
Watch out Bob!!!
Cleaned my boots using the lovely products from Peewee Saddlery and ๐คฉ wow! May have to go clean my bridle now!! ๐
Working through the long back muscle after applying heat ๐ฅฐ๐
Not the steadiest video but at the beginning and towards the end watch for the bottom eyelid twitches. I was working through the poll and TMJ area. It never ceases to amaze me how treatment in one area directly affects another area. I utilise this natural phenomena a lot in my treatments, helping to relieve stress points and areas of tension while treating an adjoining or opposite area where there are no signs of discomfort ๐คฉ I always work with your horse so they have the best experience possible ๐ด Sarah x
