Steve the Lead tip: in this hot weather never be tempted to pour cold water over Bonzo to cool him/her down - just wrap their paws in damp cloths and leave him/her plenty of tepid water to drink never really cold water and they'll be fine lying in the shade😄

Who says don't get too attached to your clients? 😥 - I've had to say, possibly and hopefully a temporary, goodbye to my longest-running bow-wows due to travel problems and after 40 months + of enjoying their company on literally hundreds and hundreds of walks and escapades.
A big shout out to Jos and Marc, truly lovely people and their truly splendid spaniels - Dylan and Lexi who it has been my undoubted privilege to accompany dog walking since 2020. Thanks Jos and Marc they honestly have been no trouble at all - except that day they both decided to go swimming in the river in different directions 😂 - I have to say walking peoples' treasured companions is a responsibility that I take seriously but it is also a tremendous joy!
I have borrowed this nostalgic pic of Dylan and the littler Lexi with which to illustrate my post - Arriverderci Dylan and Lexi!!🤓

Looking back - another dear doggie pal of mine - Rado - the Giant Schnauzer - and a poem I wrote that won a prize and a front page pick to boot on the All Poetry site :-.
RADO - the GIANT SCHAUZER.
take hold of leather reins
to steer the elegance of Rado
most distinguished canine
wore well his Lenin moustachio

strength enough to pull tachankas
out on the cold of eastern front
teutonic roots, his feldgrau tunic
unsuited to the glare o' anglian sun

we like brothers walked the lines
marched on together as if forever
however raw or inclement the weather
by fenland fields blest rugged

lines criss-crossed converge
creosoted poles, blackened, bold
telegraph this sparse location
mid rapeseed steppes of radiant gold..

May I Introduce another of my special doggy mates! - I have been walking this clever fella for quite a while now, to the point I think we understand each other pretty well - his name is topically Boris and he actually has all the right constituents to be a better politician than most in office right now - he is both determined and articulate when he needs to be. Boris is also a wonderful tracking dog and can spot deer tracks at 50 paces - he loves long walks in various locations and has terrific stamina! - Boris is a genuine character, he is both affectionate and appreciative!

May I Introduce another of my special doggy pals - I have been walking this lively little fella for about 2 months now - his name is Buddy and he has a wonderful outgoing personality - he really loves life and enjoys being taken for a walk - he is a happy little fella!

This is a very thoughtful idea on a day like this - spotted recently outside Hildreds Centre at Skegness - to help you look after those little treasures .. . Happy to dog sit if required in these hot Hot HOT temperatures .. .

May I Introduce another of my special doggy pals - this little girl is an absolute beauty - although she is not as little as when I first began dog-sitting Sarabi, her lovely name - I believe it comes from 'the Lion King' - she is a Lab/Golden Retriever, a perfect blend with a fine, short, golden coat and a great temperament - Sarabi is really smart and picks stuff up very quickly - the pics show how she has grown over the nine months I have been working with her
