Offering boarding for cats and dogs (dogs aged 6 months, or once house trained, to 12 years old only)
We also have over 30 yrs experience in horse care for yard duties upon request

As many of you know, I'm very much into canine nutrition and healthy feeding practices for our dogs.

Back in the Summer, I happened to have a little chat with one of our customers regarding dog food and as her dog, Bella, was carrying too much weight, she took on board my recommendations and hasn't looked back.
I was here to answer any questions along the way and suggest suitable food and healthy treats.

As you can see in the first 3 pictures, Bella, at just 2 yrs old, would definitely have passed as a much older dog with all those extra pounds cramping her style. But in the after pictures, she looks exactly how a young labrador should 💪

She began her weight loss journey at 33kgs!!! 🫣🐷
I weighed her a few days ago and she is now a remarkable 26.6kgs!!!! 🏆

I had to share this incredible weight loss journey with you all because it is detriment to Bella's mummy being really dedicated and doing what's best to keep her beloved dog happy and healthy.

Being overweight will not only reduce the life expectancy of your dog, but it'll also cost you extra money at the vets for avoidable weight related issues ie. bad joints being the biggest health concern brought on by carrying too much weight.

We have noticed a massive difference in Bella's personality when she comes to stay with us now. She can enjoy running around and playing without getting tired and generally looks a much happier dog.

So happy healthy dog and potentially less vet bills...what's not to like!? 😁

🎉New Year's Day......CLOSED FOR ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES

All other days around these mentioned above, will be normal opening hours.

If your cat or dog is booked to stay with us over Christmas, feel free to bring a present for them that we will unwrap with them on Christmas day 🥰 (please remember we don't ever give dogs rawhide whilst they're staying with us, as it's a choking hazard and quite frankly hideously bad for dogs anyway, also if you know your dog is a chewer, and you want to give it a new toy, please nothing with stuffing inside, as again, a choking hazard)

As you may remember, I created a little survey to find out what our customers would like to see us offering going forward.

I have since done some studying and gained a pass certificate from a reputable herbal supplement company.

I first used these products many years ago when I had an epileptic Spaniel. So I would recommend them.

I'm thinking of stocking these products here for people to purchase, but wanted to see how many of you would potentially be interested in this product if the need for a remedy arose.

Since I put a post up a while back regarding healthy alternatives to those awful Dentastix, I must say how impressed I am with you guys 👌
So many of you have taken on board what I said and have switched to the healthy fishsticks instead (wish I was on commission now 😆)
Not only am I really impressed and proud of you but your dogs love you for it too.

DOG PRICES (per day!) One dog £12. Two dogs £17. Three dogs £22. Four dogs £27

CAT PRICES (per day!) One cat £8.50. Two cats £12. Three cats £15.50. Four cats £19

Payment is either on drop off or collection of your pet and by cash or BACS only. No refunds.

Please stick to our opening hours as we have a routine to stick to with the animals and also have a family and our own animals to care for.

Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9 till 11am and again 4 till 6pm. Wednesdays CLOSED. Saturdays 9 till midday only. Sundays 10 till midday only.

We are a small, family run business, located about 6 miles from Boston. We do everything possible to make sure that all our guests are happy, healthy and well cared for whilst they are under our supervision. We understand that animals don’t always find it easy to feel relaxed out of their normal home environment and away from their families, so we do all we can to keep stress to a minimum. For this reason we can not allow visitors to walk around the kennel area as it unsettles the dogs...we’re guessing it would be like having the general public walking through your house every day...not very relaxing hey!? We do allow people to walk through the cattery, as the cats don’t get disturbed like the dogs.

All guests must be fully vaccinated to stay with us, this includes the kennel cough vaccine for the dogs. The kennel cough vaccine is a live vaccination so if your dog has had the vaccine within 14 days of coming to stay, you will be asked to take your dog elsewhere!!

We have a variety of different food to feed our guests. For cats we use good quality biscuits that contain no colours and felix meat in pouches. For the dogs, we have a choice of the following...raw minced chicken or tripe, pedigree tinned meat and mixer, a hyperallergenic brand (usually Harringtons) a premium brand (usually Salters) and a working dog mix which doesn’t contain any colours. If you know your pet has a sensitive stomach or is a fussy eater, you’re more than welcome to bring their normal food.

On arrival, please leave your pets safely in the car until one of us has seen the vaccination certificate. Once out of the car, and secured on a lead, do not let your dog p*e up anything on the yard (this is our home and once one dog scent marks, they’ll all be doing it and the place will stink!) they’ll have opportunity to relieve themselves once off the lead around the kennels.

Dogs are let out regularly throughout the day to play, socialise and do jobs! Only dog friendly dogs will be allowed to play together, as we don’t want any arguments or unnecessary injuries.

Both the kennels and the cattery have heating which is included in the price.

We are insured and licensed.

We have been doing this job day in, day out, come rain or shine for the past 11 years now. If any of you work with the general public you will be fully aware that you can’t please everyone no matter how hard you try. But remember, we are only human and we can sometimes make mistakes or come across wrong. We are, as a rule, very honest and straight talking people who will always let you know EXACTLY how your pet has been during their stay with us. If you don’t like honesty and would prefer not to really know the ins and outs of what your pet has been up to, then this is not the kennels/cattery for you.
