excitement
This young girl showing her enjoyment of Mantrailing, following the scent, working out where the scent ends and finding it again. She goes up to the decoy it's not you then off to the right person, a bit unsure but soon overcomes her nerves building confidence. This team has come a long way.
Sheila and Reggie showing that having a disability doesn't mean you cannot have fun together. Mantrailing is open to everyone, as well as general training.
Both had a great time and will see them on progression
Sessions.
I first saw this lovely timid girl outside a vets where she was so stressed by staff and owners (under instructions from the vet staff) trying to put a muzzle on her. A bit of coincidence the owner messaged me to help with lead walking, which I did a few weeks ago, which is going well. I was asked about muzzle training as she is not keen on wearing one especially after her ordeal. We played hand touch, then transferred this to touching the muzzle. Then dropping treats into muzzle and so on. Finally introducing the cue muzzle on cue. A much more confident dog without any force. A very happy owner and a great session.
This is young Bonnie 17w old having her first off lead walking after attending puppy class a few weeks ago. Lovely bond between owner and Bonnie where she wants to be next to her owner. All done positively and with no cues, calling etc allowing Bonnie to decide what to do, even when she came to me she soon returned. Looking forward to adding more distractions to her training.
Another example of how these dogs enjoy Mantrailing, he is using his nose to find the trail layers. He gets very excited when he finds the trail layers.
Look at him go
A great video of how these dogs love Mantrailing. He is off like a rocket stopping to check our decoy before finding the trailer by using just his nose. Plus a very impressed owner.
