Clumber Spaniel Championship show
October 5th 2025.
It was a great honour and a privilege to be invited to judge the CSC championship show, and I would like to thank everyone involved in getting this show together, my thanks go to my very efficient stewards Graham and Sue who kept the proceedings on track, the wind was the biggest challenge on the day but the rain kept away. My thanks to all who entered under me and accepted my decisions in good spirit
I found all the dogs to be clean and well presented but one point I must make is please clean both ears when preparing your dog, and eye staining can be kept under control by daily maintenance every judge will interpret the breed standard differently and personal choice will vary, I found on the whole the dogs were sound and fit . ring craft for some would be helpful both dog and handlers this will assist in showing your dog to it’s best potential .
