🐢🐢How adorable is this little tortoise!! 🐢🐢

These are CB22 Hermann’s tortoises and they’re packed full of character! They fly to the opening of the vivarium looking for breakfast as well as attention and just overall are a joy to work with!

These guys make excellent beginner reptiles as they are relatively low maintenance and enjoy a herbivorous diet of leafy green! The main element of research for this species is correct protocol for hibernation, although it will be a while before these guys start hibernating. We have 4 x CB22 babies available and 2 x 4year old females available. All of which are equipped with microchips and certification!

🐍Who doesn’t love a Burmese Python?!

Especially one as pretty as this! He is currently called Melman due to his uncanny pattern resemblance to a Giraffe! (Can you figure out the reference?)

He is a Hypo het Granite het Albino and currently is only a baby clocking in at around 2.5 feet. This is a large species of snake, one of the top three largest on the planet, so it goes without saying Melman will need to go to a home that can provide the suitable requirements for him to thrive when he’s 10 foot + and be able to demonstrate capability to work with larger bodied snakes. 🐍

This tiny beauty is a CB23 Female Brazilian Rainbow boa and is a staff favourite over at Bourne End currently! Very gentle disposition currently but definitely the ideal size to work with to reinforce this positive response to human interaction.

A more sensitive species requiring higher humidity levels and slightly lower temperatures than you might expect. However this being said after a good conversation with our staff in store and a keen eye this little beauty could thrive.

A staple favourite morph of Royal Python! Always in demand due to their unusual yet incredible colours and how they interact with other genes.

This is a CB23 Male Banana Royal Python, and I don’t think he needs much introduction as that colour speaks for itself! This little guy is ADORABLE! He is barely the size of a thumb and reasonably sassy but we work very closely with these guys while they’re young to try tame the sass out of them! Eventually he will be a medium sized lizard with all the cool characteristics that we know and love about chameleons at a slightly more affordable price! Although chameleons can be quite sensitive, this species arguably would be a great introduction to chameleon care due to their smaller size- even better yet this dude is young enough to be worked with closely by a prospective owner to be handleable as an adult with enough time and patience! We have a male (pictured) available at £95 and a female available at £60 in store!

Congratulations to Lee and the team at Millennium Reptiles for successfully hatching out Green Tree Pythons, a tricky egg to get to hatch out.

Manokwari Green Tree Pythons are coveted for the expanse of dorsal blues that make them so spectacular as adults. They are from the East of the Vogel Kop Peninsular in West Papua (formerly Irian Jaya)

British reptile specialist centres are often derided as profit hungry and exploiters of reptiles. Nothing could be further from the truth. You would really have to search to find a more committed, passionate bunch of herpetoloculturists. Their expansive knowledge over a range of species makes them a deep vein for research mining when considering a new companion reptile or amphibian.

Also worthy of note, UK reptile centres, indeed all UK pet centres are amongst the most regulated on earth. Conditions and standards are further reaching than America, Canada, Germany or Japan.

You can be assured of quality assistance and support with a British pet centre. They have to jump through many hoops just to be able to get a license to operate.

This little dirt goblin has been with us for a little while and growing like a w**d, will need to go to someone who has experience and knowledge when dealing with monitors, as being a bosc monitor this currently cute little lizard stands to reach the range of 3-4 foot.

However, this being said if you have the knowledge and patience to train and work with this species they can be highly rewarding. These guys are strictly insectivorous, another thing to consider when thinking about adding them to your family as unlike other Varanid species that can eat the likes of raw meat etc if this species follows the same diet they are at risk of fatty liver disease! In addition to this will also need a relatively large enclosure size and high end basking spot long term in order to thrive.

This little girl is quite the personality! Always bouncing around her enclosure and exploring. She also is fond of drinking water directly from the water sprayer jet! She is still relatively young with the potential to reach 20-28 inches as an adult bearing in mind the majority of this will be her super long tail!

This species is able to produce offspring through parthenogenesis, essentially producing eggs without a male that genetically are identical to her.

Very friendly and curious, perfect for those that want a smaller species of lizard that is very active and quite unique! Pop in store to see her in the flesh!

Here we have one of our Pine Island Mossy Geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua) Those who saw the previous “spot the animal” post this is one of the little guys you were hunting for! Being an Insular species, these guys are a fair bit smaller than their mainland counterparts but just as stunning!

How stunning is this CB23 Pewter Royal Python! I doubt she’ll be with us for long, and her pattern and colours only stand to gain more contrast as she ages. Perfect for breeders given she’s a mix of two incomplete dominant genes (Pastel x Cinnamon) meaning she could be a great pairing later down the line. Alternatively would also make a fantastic pet for those who want a heavy bodied, laid back snake with that added wow factor!
