Today, Oscar and Alfie enjoyed a hack down to the ford in celebration of Holly’s birthday 🥳💗 both Holly and Isla have been riding with us for a while- it’s lovely being able to celebrate these moments with riders new and old!! 🥰

Congratulations to our very own Holly who has completed the Silver Challenge Award, we are so proud of you 😍👏

Holly is a big part of our team (and behind most of our social media posts now!) and fully deserves this achievement after all her hard work 💪

This allows her to proceed directly to BHS Stage 2 in Complete Horsemanship. The modules included:

Our final activity over the Christmas period will be out Splash and Back morning with Lisa on the 3rd January 🦄🦄🦄
This is a gentle stroll down to the Bulby Ford and along the countryside. As our instructor will be on foot, this is a great opportunity for any of our riders who aren’t able to navigate the roads alone. We do recommend wellies to anyone who would like to accompany their children as we walk down to the Ford!💧💜💧💜💧

A great experience for all of our young riders to plait, preen and groom a pony ready to ride! There will be rosettes for everyone as the Christmas cheer spreads into 2025! 💜💜💜 available to book online 🎆

On the 31st December Helen will be taking out a Splash and Back hack! ❄️
This is a group ride out to the Bulby Ford and back with instructor on foot. A great opportunity for our younger riders to have some time in the gorgeous countryside and to have a play in the Ford on horseback! We do advise for anyone accompanying on foot to be wearing wellies of course!💧

Don’t worry if you miss out on our Tack n Hack on the 22nd as we’ll be doing another with Sarah on the 30th! 💚💚💚
This is a great opportunity for our senior hack clients and those with their pony club D+ and above tests 🐴🐴
You’ll start by spending quality time with your allocated pony; grooming, tacking up and hacking them through the lovely local scenery and through the Ford in the village. Once you’ve returned you’ll be able to untack, wash your pony off and enjoy a packed lunch with your peers! 🐴💚

This is a great opportunity for all our horsey lovers new and old. Groom, plait, and preen your pony ready for riding! Rosettes will be given out to all our wonderful participants so bring your snacks and come on down to the yard for some post Christmas cheer!! 🤍🤍🤍

23rd of December starts off our Christmas activities with our Tack n Hack with Sarah 🎄🎄🎄**this activity is open to our senior hack clients and pony/ saddle club members with their D+ Test and above 🐴🐴🐴
The Tack n Hack is a 1.5h hack with the joy of prepping your allocated pony and getting them untacked and washed off afterwards- their legs can get a bit grubby having fun splashing around in the village ford! 🍃🌳💧🐴
Once the ponies have been sorted it’ll be time for lunch with your fellow riders so make sure you bring some food with you- all this fun sure builds up an appetite!!

We are so so proud of Lydia, Ella, and Bea for completing their Silver Challenge Ride Safe!!! Bea and Lydia have had their mucking out signed off, to be followed by Ella, meaning they can start their BHS Stage 2 in Complete Horsemanship! They will hopefully be taking the exam next spring🤞🏻🎉 big congratulations to you, girls, and a big thank you to our amazing instructor Helen, who has been coaching them 💞💞💞

Our Pony Club badge nights are a brilliant opportunity to gain practical and theory based skills on the care and management of horses and ponies! It is also a brilliant way for children to start their journey towards the Pony Club Tests as the knowledge they gain is used in the D Test all the way up to the C+ Test!

We incorporate sessions on the yard, as seen in these lovely photos of our younger group practicing their plaiting. Along with theory in the classroom, as seen with the last two photos taken of our older pony clubbers learning their trot footfalls..(to engage the children, this does usually end up being more practical, as you can see!)

We have just finished our first week of these for the term but it’s not to late to join in 🤍🦄🤍

Badge nights are held on the following weekdays:
Monday- 5:30-7pm (for ages 7-13)
Wednesday- 5:30-7pm (for ages 7-13)
Thursday- 4-5:30pm (for ages 5-10) and 5:30-7pm (for ages 7-13)

Having captured their C+ tests, these fabulous girls are now working towards their direct entry to the BHS stage 2 with the Silver Challenge rider safety module (along with mucking out competency) 💫💫💫

We are so proud of them for getting to where they are now! Of course, with the help from our lovely instructors, including Helen who is qualified for signing off the BHS Silver Challenge modules on site! We are rooting for you girls! ❤️

The best place to start is our Badge Nights- perfect for children as young as five, for whom we have a Thursday, 4pm-5:30pm slot for. Children will be learning about equine care and maintenance through classroom and practical sessions and gain achievement badges along the way. Through this knowledge and progressive test building skills, we then offer the Pony Club Tests up to C+ level 🦄🦄🦄

Poppy and Alfie absolutely flying ✈️😍

What a super combination - Alfie certainly makes you work for it but poppy knows how to get the best from him 💪👏

All our lessons are now allowed some jumping (at the instructor’s discretion & depending on the capability of the rider) - we went through a phase of limiting how much jumping happened but we noticed you and all the ponies missed it so it’s back 😅😎

Three of our lovely little clients enjoying their care and ride special 🩷🩷🩷 this type of session is catered to both rider and parent. Allowing for some time on the yard for equine education, tacking up, and to meet the team (both ponies and humans!) and then off we go for a gentle stroll 🦄

Today marks the end of our half term events with our Dressage Pony Day! Our riders did a great job plaiting their ponies, giving them a groom, and of course riding their dressage tests 🐴❣️ bonus photo of another Bulby resident taken today who is often present… 🐿️🐿️🐿️

We hope to see you all again soon. Whether it be for lessons, saddle club, pony club, or our next half term events!
