Please ensure all Dog and Cat Microchips are up to date and registered. If you are unsure please bring them down into the shop and we will be more than happy to help and check for you and help to update the details with you if needed.

We have seen so many dogs being lost in the local area recently and the details have not been updated.

We are more than happy to help. It is also a legal requirement for all dogs and cats to be microchipped and registered.

We want to thank all our customers and clients this year it has been truly one of the busiest ones yet for us. We have so much to be thankful for.

Massive thanks to Carl and Sam for all their help this year.

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and HappyNew year.

We are currently having a very different Christmas than we planned and hope Bradleigh makes a speedy recovery in hospital.

🐾 Raw Feeding Guidelines for Dogs 🐾

✅ Components of a Balanced Raw Diet:
• Muscle Meat: 80% (e.g., beef, chicken, lamb)
• Raw Meaty Bones (RMBs): 10-15% (e.g., chicken wings, ribs)
• Organs: 10% (5% liver, 5% other organs like kidney or heart)
• Optional: 5-10% fruits/veggies (pureed for digestion)

🐶 Puppies (Up to 12 Months):
• Feed 8-10% of their body weight daily (split into 3-4 meals).
• Adjust as they grow; by 6 months, feed 4-6% of body weight.

🐕 Adult Dogs:
• Feed 2-3% of their ideal body weight daily.
• Adjust based on activity level and metabolism.

🐕‍🦺 Senior Dogs:
• Feed 2-3% of body weight with lean meats.
• Add joint support supplements (like omega-3 or glucosamine).

🦴 Important Tips:
• Variety is key: Rotate proteins.

Does your dog have smelly, itchy, gunky ears? 🐶👂

Signs to look out for:
👀Brown wax inside the ears. This is made by mites inside the ear canal. The wax is either dry, or may weep slightly. The ears tend to be smelly.

It’s unbelievable to think this boy was advertised for sale, then he was dumped and handed in to the warden! Poor baby!

Piggy is such a sweet boy but obviously he doesn’t have the best quality of life due to his breathing and BOAS. Poppys Pals Rescue is an amazing small rescue and one we support due to the amazing work that Kirsty does! Please can we all help raise the donation for his surgery!
