Dotty is a 3 year old goat who is looking for a loving home. She has come to stay for the Summer Holiday so can be seen while she's here. Would need another goat, sheep, pony or Donkey for company, she is an excellent hedge trimmer!

We so want to share this post that's doing the rounds, but we can't, without telling some fibs 🙈 Our ponies are the other end of the scale, and that's probably been our USP and the key to our success over the years 😆 Our sweet mare WILL turn her bum away from the mounting block if you haven't got a fair contact on the reins....a "fair" contact is one that isn't too tight, yet communicates effectively. The kind gelding will refuse to trot on or will go too fast (safely!) when he misunderstands what you're asking...so when he does it you know you've asked right! The saintly angel that never spooks will only ever spook when we've guaranteed she won't 😫 and usually with the most fragile rider - she's just making sure you REALLY want to do this! 😬 But we CAN say with confidence our riders didn't become what they are today without the help of our team of testing, varied characters!

They are never just RIDING SCHOOL PONIES❤️🐴

One day you may move onto bigger, fancier horses, but never forget the school horse who made you, as without them, you wouldn’t be able to ride anything at all.

The patient soul that tolerated your bouncing while you figured out how to sit the trot.

The kind mare that didn’t walk off when you stumbled up the mounting block, trying to get your foot in the stirrup.

The sweet gelding that picked up the trot even though your body was telling him to do the exact opposite.

The saintly angel that never spooked, which was a dam good thing because your balance was precarious at best.

Too often we forget where we came from. We move on to the next chapter in our lives and say, “Oh my gosh, I’m learning so much! I’m going so far! I could never do this kind of thing on that old school horse!”

But infact you could, you were just not ready to do all these things back then.

But that school horse gave you the confidence to move forward. That school horse took care of you in all respects and allowed you to take the time you needed to find your way. You couldn’t have become the rider you are today without that riding school horse, always remember to love them unconditionally for our riding school horses are what help start your dream, make dreams come true and get you ready for those bigger dreams 🐴

Joint Helicopter Command Horse Rider Safety Survey.

Are you a horse rider? Do you have friends and family who ride horses? They need YOUR help to spread the word about a vital initiative related to horse and rider safety.

Mitigating the risk that low flying helicopters pose to horse riders continues to be a JHC priority.

As part of this ongoing work, JHC, in collaboration with The British Horse Society, developed a Horse Riding Safety Survey aimed at gathering valuable insights from riders across the UK.

As members of the horse-riding community, your input is invaluable in shaping future safety measures.

Here's how you can help:

Participate in the Survey: Take a few minutes to complete the survey using the QR code in the image above.

Share on Social Media: Post about the survey on your social media channels, encouraging your friends, followers and fellow horse riders to participate.

Spread the Word by email or message: Personally reach out to individuals within the horse-riding community that you know and encourage them to take part. Sharing the survey link directly could make a significant impact.
