Dogs are curious by nature, and their exploration often involves chewing or swallowing things they shouldn't. Foreign body ingestion is a common and serious issue that can lead to choking, blockages, or even life-threatening complications.
This lovable pup decided to eat his owner's tea towel. Luckily, his owner acted quickly and brought him to us. We were able to safely induce vomiting, preventing any complications. Swift action like this can make all the difference!
Common hazards include:
⚠️ Socks, toys, or shoes
⚠️ Bones (especially cooked ones)
⚠️ Corn cobs, sticks, and stones
⚠️ Fishing hooks or sharp objects
Signs your dog may have ingested something they shouldn't:
‼️ Vomiting or retching
‼️ Loss of appetite
‼️ Abdominal pain or bloating
‼️ Lethargy or unusual behavior
👉 Keep your furry friend safe by supervising playtime, dog-proofing your home, and keeping harmful objects out of reach.

🎄 On the second day of Christmas, Taylor Vets gave to me… 🎶
✨ A sneaky peek at our new practice-to-be! 🏗️🐾
We thought our wonderful community might enjoy a look inside the former Lloyds Bank building, which was once a thriving hive of activity on Brackley High Street and will soon become the new home of Taylor Vets!
As we transform this site to be our new HQ, we’d love your help to uncover its story...
Do you know any fascinating facts about this historic building or its past? Maybe you can answer some of our questions or shed light on its history. Let us know in the comments!
