At long last, we had some good news for our slightly older pairs this week…

You may have seen that after a successful bond, Theo and Harley were adopted and are now part of a bunny family of five! In rescue due to very sad circumstances, they were with us for almost 3 months…

Today, after six long months in rescue, Spot and Boomer have been reserved for a lovely home and are due to leave us on Sunday!

As you can see, pairs take a long time to rehome. This doesn't seem to make sense until you consider the fact that people are purchasing and not rescuing. Please help to spread the word - adopt don’t shop. There is a rabbit crisis and rescues need your help to get the message out.

Sadly our beautiful Cricket and Daisy are still with us. They came in four months ago through absolutely no fault of their own - they are sweet and friendly and Cricket in particular will sit with you for as long as you like. They need a calm indoor home and, while not everyone can accommodate this, we know that there is someone out there who has the space and to whose family Cricket and Daisy will make the loveliest addition.

Our fluffy boy Derek has been recovering well from his neuter last week. He is now back to his old self, eating well and enjoying lots of cuddles.

He really is the friendliest chap. He was straight out of his carrier to say hello to the nurses on arrival at the vets and delighted everyone he met during his stay. It is great to see him recovering well and we would now love to receive applications for Derek.

Derek is a fluffy, grey, lionhead cross who was found straying a few weeks ago and brought into a local vet. As nobody came forward for him, it is likely that he was dumped.

Derek is looking for either an indoor or outdoor home that meets RWAF minimum space requirements with at least one other bunny friend. If you would like to discuss offering Derek a home, please send us a dm for an initial chat. Home check and adoption fee will apply.

Theo and Harley (on the left) have joined a trio and, thanks to the patience and commitment of their new mum who has managed the bond carefully, are now members of a gorgeous fluffle. Thanks to for giving them a chance and a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏡 and to Hug A Bunny Hotel for putting the call out 📞.

Adopted last weekend...

Bessie, Mumma PP's little girl from her second litter of three, has been adopted by a lovely, long-term supporter of ours to be bonded with her sadly bereaved boy. Good luck beautiful Bessie - you are a lucky girl.

Moe & Sooty, Bessie's bonded brothers have gone to a wonderful home together. Their adoptive family have gone above and beyond to build them a fabulous outdoor setup (more about that later). You are very lucky boys!

Please keep spreading the word and encouraging anyone you know who is interested in taking on rabbits to do their research and look into adopting. Bessie, Moe, Sooty and their six other siblings were the result of the mis-sexing of their parents by a pet shop.

We are so glad that we were able to help them but it is impossible for rescues to help every rabbit in need due to the alarming rate at which they are still being irresponsibly sold.

On Saturday, Becky went to collect this sweet young boy 🐰. Sold with his brother by a pet shop last year, they were not neutered and inevitably started fighting. Unbelievably, this resulted in our poor boy being put out to live on a balcony with no shelter. He was soaked through when we got to him. He is currently very skinny and very sad and nervous 😢 but he is finally safe, warm and dry.

We would love for one of our kind supporters to sponsor and name him.

Sponsoring a rabbit involves making a one-off £30 donation which goes towards the initial vaccination and vet check. In return the sponsor gets to give our little boy his very own name and identity. If you would like to help, please comment below.

Sven and Olaf - another week has gone by and these gorgeous friendly boys are still waiting for the offer of a forever home. They are currently living indoors with a lovely foster family and are used to busy family life. They will need a spacious indoor setup and lots of enrichment to keep them busy in their new home and they could potentially live outside once the weather warms up.

Our lovely fluffy boy Derek has been in for his neuter today. Please keep him in your thoughts as he recovers tonight and over the next few days. Derek is still looking for a home and, once he has recovered from his surgery, we will be able to take applications for him. Derek will be looking for a 5* home with a bunny friend 🐰🐰.

Another week has gone by and these two gorgeous, friendly bonded pairs are still waiting for the offer of a home 😢.

Spot and Boomer will need a spacious outdoor setup and Cricket and Daisy are looking for a lovely indoor home. Both pairs are neutered with up-to-date vaccinations. Please message us for a chat if you are considering adopting a pair of rabbits - we are more than happy to help and advise you.

Very sadly, we cannot take in any more pairs of rabbits until these we find homes for these beauties 😞.

Today, Lottie and Ethel went to their forever home 🏡 🎉🥰.

For everyone following the journey of Mumma PP and her two litters of babies, Mumma and all of the first litter have now found forever homes!

In case you missed it, Reuben, Milo and William went together as a trio 🐰🐰🐰, Mumma and Maude went separately and are now happily bonded with handsome husbuns and Lottie and Maude, who were always inseparable, left today as a bonded pair 🐰🐰.

The second litter Moe, Sooty and Bessie are all reserved for amazing homes too 🤩!

Thanks to your incredible support, sponsorships and donations, we were able to turn the lives of these rabbits around by raising over £1,500 for their vaccinations and neutering. The team worked hard to find them all the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ homes that they deserve and to know that they are all now off living their best lives is amazing.

Wow those 2 years have flown! We want to say a big thank you to Sam at Moon's Menagerie for all of her support over the last couple of years. As well as fostering for us, Sam works with our rehoming team and helps with lots of behind-the-scenes admin tasks. We are so lucky to have her 🍀🙏🏻😊.

This year, we have fostered 15 animals for Berkshire Animal Rescue and successfully rehomed 8 of those, 2 rabbits and 6 guinea pigs 🥳

The remaining 7 are still looking for homes! 👀 🏡

You may remember a few weeks ago we posted about Fred - a guinea pig recently taken in by us who unfortunately had a large abcess under his chin that needed to be surgically removed.

We are thrilled to report that thanks you all of your support and donations, Fred had his surgery today and it all went smoothly!

Fred and his friend Reggie will be available to adopt once he is fully recovered.
