This beautiful Aqua Marin 1500 was installed yesterday by our Mark from MB Aquariums! Sadly the customer had a leak in his kitchen which required a full renovation - so his livestock lived in a vat provided by Mark for a few weeks whilst he repaired. But in less than a day he’s got his dream tank! A happy ending to a very bad time!

🏡Yesterday's final tank move went as smooth as moving three tanks can...

👌🏻Was really happy to be able to help this lovely couple out, even if we had to create a work around.

🤔They were moving on a weekend, but at the last minute it was rescheduled for a Monday for which I was fully booked.

💡So a plan was hatched, I move the tanks the Sunday, board them at mine for a week, then move them the following weekend.

Anyone fancy this monster fish?

Free to good home!

We were donated this giraffe catfish quite some time ago and time to find him a permanent home! Please bear in mind this is a true tank buster fish, he needs an indoor pond preferably!

So do you or anyone you might know have a home for this monster cat? If you do and can show us you have the space, he’s yours for free!

👷🏻So pleased to be able to help this customer out after his whole downstairs was flooded. Not by an aquarium I must add!

🐠This corner marine aquarium was well established, but needed moving before the downstairs could be renovated.

🤔The plan we executed was to transfer them to a temporary holding tank with all the rock and canister filter set up on it.

🐠A busy week here at MB Aquariums.

👔Started Monday by fitting a Fluval FX4 to this tank in Jannets Park, then over to look after the turtles.

👀Tuesday started with a marine tank consultation in Wokingham, then off to give two no obligation visits to a couple of marine tanks on in Camberley and one in Spencers Wood.

⌚Then Preparing for tomorrows tank move within a house for a marine tank near Lilly Hill Park. Made salt up and rinsed off the new sand.

⚠️Quick unexpected Sunday morning vist to this marine tank in Great Hollands.

👀The owner is away and their house sitter couldn't top up their fresh water.

🙋🏻They messaged and I popped in 25l of RODI water into their top up.

🤔It can be stressful leaving a tank for prolonged periods of time. What would you give to make that time more relaxing knowing your tank is in expert hands.

🐠This was a first visit to this marine tank.

It had a little cyanobacteria on the sand bed which likely came from a mi's balance in nutrients.

🧪This was confirmed with testing and high phosphate and low nitrates.

✋🏻I advised them to reduce carbon dosing and we did a 25L water change.

💦I two weeks I'm going back for a retest and we'll see what needs adjusting then.

🐠First time visiting this marine tank in Spencers Wood.

🪸Little bit of cyanobacteria and the corals where not looking super fluffy.

🧪Testing revealed that phosphates were high and nitrates a bit low. The main cause for cyano is usually and imbalance in nutrients.

✋🏻So I advised them to reduce the amount of carbon dosing and we did a 25L water change.

💦Planning on retesting in two weeks to see what's happening and may have to add some RowaPhos to the system.

⌚Nothing good happens fast in any sort of aquarium.
