Today was the first day of walks for this year and what a lovely day it was (although rather chilly!) 🥶
It was fab to be back out and all the dogs were super excited! I can't wait to see everyone back for their usual walks over the next week 😊

Apologies if you have messaged me and I have not yet replied, I intend to get back to everyone by no later than tomorrow evening!

🌧 FLOODING 🌧

Yesterday all Bradford-on-Avon walks had to be cancelled due to severe flooding in the area. Unfortunately it looks to be the same for today as the water is still extremely high.

Sorry to all my BoA clients, but thank you for being so wonderful and understanding! I have messaged most of you, so please check your messages, as I have opened up an extra walk this Friday if any of you would like your dogs to have a run around with their pals 🐾

Whoops.. it's somehow been over 2 months since my last post about my walks on here 😬🤣

However, I can safely say this is due to being busier than ever! I am still so grateful to be out walking all day, everyday with such lovely dogs. It's definitely starting to feel more autumnal out there (my favourite season of all), however I'm trying to cling on to whatever last bit of summer we may get! ☀️

If anyone is looking to have a photoshoot with their dog, then I can highly recommend Dave Drew The Outdoor Dog Photographer - QGPP!

I was gifted a session by one of my lovely clients with the hope of getting some snaps of my dog Mally. Anyone who knows Mally will know how nervous she can be of new situations and new people. However, she's been gaining confidence so I believed it was the right time to give it a go! It's fair to say that she did so much better than I thought and that was definitely helped by Dave - he made sure that everything was on her terms and was willing to let her take her time.

Hi everyone, a non-dog related post today but definitely an important one ❤️.
Recently my sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It has been quite a shock for us all, but my sister is a fighter and has an amazing support system around her.
Bowerhill Baby and Toddlers are dedicating their summer party to her in order to raise awareness and raise money for the fight against Breast Cancer. They have organised a raffle with tickets available to buy through the link on their post. If you are able to, then please consider entering 💕

🎉 3 YEARS OF ASHTON DOG SERVICES 🎉

I can't quite believe that I can now say I have been able to make this little business my full time job for 3 years now! All I can ever say is a massive thank you to all of my clients and anyone who has ever supported me, especially in the past year 💕

As some of you will know, my fiancé and I were finally able to buy our first home last month. This was a goal that often felt a little out of reach, particularly with myself being self-employed. But I know this wouldn't have been possible without the continued support and trust from my fabulous clients, you guys are absolutely amazing and I will always be thankful for the kindness that I receive every single day. I am forever lucky to walk the best dogs with the most wonderful owners.

Here's to hopefully many more years of more adventures, rain or shine (preferably less rain though)

I often have clients ask if I am able to offer walks on the weekends, my answer is always yes (as long as I am available of course)!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking this handsome springer out for a long walk with two of my dogs and my fiancé joining me as company. It was a lovely afternoon walk with a gorgeous sunset ☀️

So whether you're a regular client of mine, or you have never used my services before, if you need a weekend walk then please feel free to ask. I always love to help out where I can 😊

Last week I had a group of 5, so I made sure to book Bradford On Avon Dog Walking Field for Hire as it's a larger group than I usually try to do and I personally feel more comfortable in a secure field! 🐾

But just because they could all be off lead, that doesn't mean they spend the whole of the walk playing. I still like to include plenty of downtime and lots of opportunities to practice waits and sits as a group. This group in particular are fab together and they're always a joy to be out with 😊🐶

One of my favourite things about my job is being able to provide owners with videos and photos of their dogs out with their walking buddies! 🐾

However, not only is it a great way to remember all the fun we have on our walks, it's also a fab opportunity to practice some basic commands! It gives the dogs a chance to have to use their brains and think about what I'm asking from them (in between having zoomies and sniffing everywhere 😂).
Most commonly it's a chance to practice sit and waits, but occasionally it also involves them having to balance on haybales, tree logs or benches! This is all of course in exchange for tasty treats and it allows me to build an even better relationship with all of them - resulting in more desirable behaviour on future walks (such as stronger recall) and ultimately better walks for both myself and the dogs! 🐶

* I also secretly love the challenge of taking group photos 🤣
