🌼My latest taxidermy dome is now available to buy through my Etsy!🌼

This one of a kind, hand made mixed taxidermy dome contains a real roe deer skull, preserved butterflies and a selection of real yellow dried flowers.

Everything inside the glass dome is real, including the flowers and ten preserved butterflies. The base is layered with bright green dried moss.

All my taxidermy is sourced from vintage/second hand collections, and no animals are killed for my art. More info on the Etsy listing 🖤

My latest taxidermy dome is now available to buy through my Etsy! This one of a kind, hand made mixed taxidermy dome contains a real roe deer skull, preserved butterflies and a selection of pink and purple dried flowers.

Everything inside the glass dome is real, including the flowers and ten preserved blue/purple butterflies. The base is layered with dark green dried moss.

❄️Winter❄️

✨SOLD✨ My latest taxidermy dome is off to it’s new home in Suffolk!

Everything in the dome in real, and lot of it is foraged from the Yorkshire countryside. The lichen, silver dollars and mossy budding twigs were found on afternoon walks and the deer skull and butterflies are from vintage/second hand collections. The dome also includes poppy seed heads and ivy berries which I dried myself.

All my taxidermy is sourced from vintage/second hand collections, and no animals are killed for my art.

Three beautiful moths mounted in a black box frame - now available on my Etsy! The moths are a Small Emperor, a Puss Moth and a Lesser Yellow Underwing complimented by real dried flowers in two corners. This is a completely one of a kind, handmade piece.

The frame measures 18cms x 18cms and will be posted securely.

All my specimens are from vintage/second hand collections, and are never killed for my art.

🌻Summer🌻

✨SOLD✨ I package my domes very carefully when sending them out, and made sure to do so when this one was sent to it’s new home in Ohio. Unfortunately, it was unpacked at US customs and very badly re-packed, causing the dome to break.

I of course refunded my customer in full and apologised. It was upsetting, as I put a lot of love and time into the dome, but I had damage insurance, which wasn’t cheap, so I was confident I would be covered. I then found out that “Customs is not liable for damage to any article or cargo damaged during a normal Customs inspection” which… kinda sucks.

I can’t handle another loss like this, so sadly, I’ve had to update my shipping to Europe only. It feels sh*tty, as I’ve had a lot of lovely customers from the US, but even the very best packaging wouldn’t make a difference if the whole thing can be unpacked, thrown back in a box and there’s nothing I can do about it 😕

Everything in the dome was real, including the deer skull, dried flowers and eight butterflies. This was a one of a kind item. All my taxidermy is from vintage/second hand collections, and the animals are never killed for my art.

✨SOLD✨ Cabinet two of three hand made, totally unique curiosity cabinets is now available!

I’ve selected cuttings from a 1930s universal reference book to paste onto the back of the cabinets, glued twine into the inlay of the doors and filled each one with unique treasures.

Cabinet two contains:
Five real animal bones
Two real ammonites (fossilised shell)
One sprig of real dried hydrangea
Four real smokey quartz crystal
Three small keys

All of the little sections have a cutting glued to the back, including the ones with curiosities in them. These can be displayed on a shelf or hung on the wall. They’re one of a kind and once they’re gone, they’re gone! Link in my bio.

The first of three hand made, totally unique curiosity cabinets is now available to buy through my Etsy! The cabinets are vintage finds that I cleaned up and painted black. They all have little shelves and glass doors.

I’ve selected cuttings from a 1930s universal reference book to paste onto the back of the cabinets, glued twine into the inlay of the doors and filled each one with unique treasures.

Cabinet 1 contains:
Six real butterfly wings
Three real animal bones
One real ammonite (fossilised shell)
One sprig of real dried hydrangea
One real smokey quartz crystal
One small skull shaped bead
One small glass bottle filled with glittery black gem stones
One copper coin with a stork/crane on the front.

The contents is not glued to the cabinet, and can be rearranged as you wish, however some of the more delicate treasures (like the butterfly wings) are glued to the straw. All of the little sections have a cutting glued to the back, including the ones with curiosities in them. These can be displayed on a shelf or hung on the wall.
