It’s been a hectic week here at My Home Vet but we are finally starting to feel a bit more settled in our new offices in Huddersfield. We are ready to switch off for the weekend now but here is our last patient of the week Brontë the Pomeranian. ‼️WE ARE MOVING OUR OFFICES‼️

We are relocating our offices to Huddersfield (HD4 7NR).

This means we can now offer our services to clients across Barnsley and the surrounding areas 😄

We will still be providing care to new and existing clients across most of West Yorkshire ❤️

🌴⛱️ It’s Summer Holiday time! We have been very busy ensuring our clients can get on their holidays without a hitch. This gentle giant Broly needed his vaccinations to go into kennels so his parents could get some sunshine ☀️Other pets have been joining their families abroad and we have completed their travel documents before they set off 📄 Please get in contact if you need help getting your pets jet-set ready! ✈️🐶🐈⛴️

🐣EASTER OPENING TIMES🐣

My Home Vet will be closed for the Easter Break Friday 29th March through Monday 1st April. We will re-open at 08.30am Tuesday 2nd April.

We absolutely love our “Golden Oldies” here at My Home Vet, and who would have guessed that this handsome boy Hatchi is 12 years young!
We were so pleased to hear that Hatchi responded really well to his medication last week and is now back out enjoying his walks and loving life again 😀 Well done Hatchi 😀

!! Home Titre Testing now available with My Home Vet !!

Charged at £79.00 the cost includes blood sample collection, testing, interpretation and same day results.

* What is titre testing?

Dogs require annual vaccinations against certain diseases.

Generally maintenance boosters (not including primary courses) consist of an annual booster for Leptospirosis, with other components of the vaccine; Distemper, Parvo-virus and Hepatitis being administered every third year.

This would be considered a normal vaccine regime however some studies suggest that immunity to Distemper, Parvo-virus and Hepatitis can last much longer than three years.

Therefore in cases where owners have concerns regarding “over-vaccinating” we can offer a titre test to check live immunity of these three viruses.

Please note: Leptospirosis vaccine is always required annually and is not included in the titre test.
