Little update from us at WEC during what seems like the longest week of ice age!

We hope you’re all keeping well. All 24 horses are doing well, they’ve being having a play out in the snow each day with their friends (or arena when we couldn’t get them in the field) and been ridden/exercised at least once (mostly twice) everyday too! It’s been hard work battling the conditions to care for them and keep them in work for their health and well being.

Sunday - closed
Monday - closed am, 10 clients came pm
Tuesday - 1 client in afternoon then early closure due to more snowfall
Wednesday - no clients
Thursday - open (except pony play) 14 clients came
Friday - open 9 clients came
Saturday - open as normal
Sunday - spaces available on own a pony morning and spaces available on mini rugs & bandaging mini badge

We are very grateful to everyone who’s made it and thank you to those who’ve let us know if they can’t make it, so their bookings can be moved on.

Thursday 9th Jan 8.25am
We are open today for lessons and activities for those who can make it. We are however not running toddler Pony Play today (that has been postponed to next week and everyone informed).
All those booked in today if you’d prefer to move your lesson to an earlier time today if you’re off school etc and would prefer to come in daylight, we have capacity to do so (please message us).
Anyone who cannot safely attend please let us know so we can move your booking.
Any of clients off school or work and can safely get out if you’d like a lesson please let us know.

This Sunday 12th January we have Own a Pony morning which is for any pony club member who has passed minimum of D test and completed their loyalty card (loyalty cards are available for all pony club members who do lessons & pony clubs). It’s 9-12o’clock and is £15.

We also have mini rugs and bandaging badge 9-10am £17, minimum age 6, and Big Colours & markings badge 1-2pm minimum age 10 £18.

Sat 1.30pm update -
Update regards dressage competition on Sun 5th Jan.

Given the weather warning we have decided it is best to make the early decision to postpone the event for the safety of competitors and horses.

We will give details of postponed date and plan regards entries will be posted shortly. Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your support.

6pm update -
We will transfer everyone’s entries to the new date unless we receive a message from you to say otherwise (please let us know by Thursday 9th if you cannot make new date).

The plan is as follows class 1 D level dressage and class 2 juniors intro 2 on Sunday 26th January.
We will be doing all other tests (Intro 2 seniors, Prelim 1 & 2 and Novice 1 and Elementary 49) on Sunday 2nd February.

Updated times will be released the week before each event. If anyone else would like to add on we will be taking new entries over the next 10 days.

Individual sessions £15, or special offer book two sessions for £28 (saving £2) or three sessions for £39 (saving £6).

These sessions are for children 2-6 years old (younger siblings welcome to attend and free if under 18 months) and are held at Wilsden EC, BD15. Message for more information.

A lovely festive fun morning today for Christmas Eve! A full session of 12 children who all enjoyed 3 lots of riding each, treasure hunt, Christmas crafts, biscuit decorating, grooming, mucking out and races 🎅🦌🎄🎁

Prizes are now here from the Pony Club Centre Equitation Competition 2024! Well done to all of you, you’ve certainly done us proud! Most of you were at the stables yesterday so we managed to present most of the awards then.

In section 1 our Purple team (Faith, Charlotte, Poppy E, Jess) were placed 3rd out of 21 teams.
In section 2 our Green team (Maddie, Alex, Eva, Poppy H) were 1st place out of 20 teams!!

Individually in their own sections, Maddie on Charlie 1st, Poppy E on Smiler 2nd, Charlotte on Shae 2nd, Eva on Charlie 3rd, Jess on Smiler 4th, Alex on Grace 4th, Faith on Shae 8th, Poppy H on Grace 8th.
