We’ve had a crazy week at the Pooches playground. We’ve been walking dogs for Paws in the Moors from Oxenhope while Annie & Ethan were having a baby and Muddy Paws from Bingley while Manni was on holiday.
Our pooches got to make lots of new friends this week. 🥰

Today we lost our gorgeous girl Hope. After battling the big C, she passed away peacefully this afternoon with her mum and dad by her side.
Fly high over that rainbow bridge my sweet 🌈
We’ll miss your goofy antics and gorgeous cuddles. Love you darling ♥️

Snow Day! ⛄️❄️
We ventured out at lunchtime today for some snowy playtime at the field. The dogs had an absolute blast!
Unfortunately it was so difficult to get around and we both nearly had an accident, so we’ve decided to close tomorrow.
We’ll be in touch regarding the rest of the week if we feel we can’t get out again xx

Well that’s a wrap folks! All done and dusted for 2024.
We ended on a very sad note when we had to say goodbye to our gorgeous Athena, who is moving house and won’t be able to come for walkies anymore.
We hope you enjoy your new home sweetie. We’ll all miss you terribly ♥️

We all enjoyed the beautiful sunshine this week. Long may it last ❤️
Sadly we also said goodbye to 3 of our regular pooches this week. Mr Chow and Heston & Delia are all moving house so won’t be able to come for playtime anymore 😭 We will miss you sweeties 😘

We get asked a lot about what to do to help dogs that are scared of fireworks, so I just wanted to share what I do with my Ella (who turns to jelly as soon as the first bang starts).
I have been using foam earplugs, which I pop in the her ears and they really help block out the sound of the low-level bangs. They don’t, however, block out the noise of the loud bangs.
My sister sent me a link for a product called a Hush M**f, which I have purchased. I played fireworks on my phone and it seems to be effective. I may double up with the earplugs and the Hush M**f 😂.
I’ll see how we go when the next round of fireworks start. 🤞

Fireworks killed our mum, Josephine Smith. Her home was attacked using fireworks. We believe the use of fireworks after sale to the public cannot be policed. We think all displays should be licensed and sales limited to licence holders only.
