Little trainings sessions working on different commands! If you want your dog to listen to you in different environments and situations you need to train them in different environments and situations . I often hear but my dog will do that easy at home , that’s because there is no other directions. We have proofed this command and she will drop even the most valuable item without so much as second guessing it , there is no conflict I am hands free there is no force. Training should be fun and enjoyable especially for the dog. Your dog shouldn’t be doing what you ask because you have made it fear you! Build a bond based on trust 🥰

Training walk with Theo. 🐦‍⬛ Raven working on her stooge dog skills - Raven started out reactive and she has a nervous nature and a huge prey drive for anything moving. She has come on leaps and bounds to the point I can get her out and use her in situations like these. Theo - today we was working more on him being able to feel comfortable existing around other dogs, we don’t want this to be forced we want Theo to be happy and in a calm state of mind. He did fantastic. There is a lot to reactivity and our end goal with Theo is for him to see dogs and just not care about their existence. We don’t need him to make friends we just need him to cope being around dogs. It’s so important you don’t get blindsided by thinking your dog needs play mates, your dog needs you and you can make your dogs life fun without going crazy at the local park with a load of unknown dogs 👌. Working with a reactive dog is hard but I bet you will build a fantastic bond in the process of your journey to helping your dog cope. Day 2 of Theo 🐾 All we are working on is confidence building and keeping him calm. Then of course as standard loose lead walking 🐾

Little sniff walk for Theo this morning! Mum has just left for 3 weeks so I will be walking / training in place of our normal sessions whilst Theo’s dad does the fun weekend walks 🐾 we want to keep his day to day life similar to when mum is home!

45 min visit for Coco I knew this girly wouldn’t enjoy 45 minute walk in the rain so instead we took a trip out to pets at home, she had lots of sniffs , we came back and we went for a toilet break then back home for some enrichment. It’s so important to me that your dogs needs are met and they are actually enjoying their visits . #cavapoo
