A lovely overnight house sitting with Lottie this week!

Lottie loves her long walks and has been getting to know me on our weekly wanders to ensure she was settled while her owners were away!

Safe to say Lottie was very happy! I am looking forward to looking after her again soon!

Too hot to be fluffy pups today!

Nelly has had daily checks for the last week. It has been a bit hot for walking so we have been playing ball in the shade for a bit and then cooling off with a dip in the river!

Back to School 🏫

The time has come again where a lot of dogs will need to get back into the swing of being left at home while everyone goes to school/work. This can be a big adjustment for some dogs and you may initially experience some Separation Anxiety from them.

Lick mats are a great way of keeping them occupied while you are gone! It can reduce destructive behaviour and will also provide enrichment for your dog!

I am happy to leave lick mats or other food toys for your dog when I leave after our walks. I am also happy to make them up for the next day if needed!

Some good things you can put on these mats include:

🐾 their normal kibble or wet food
🐾 peas or carrots
🐾 bone broth
🐾 their fave treats!
🐾 a small amount of yoghurt
🐾 a few slices of ham or chicken
🐾 dog friendly peanut butter

If your dogs are new to lick mats, stick with their normal diet and add things slowly. If they are pros, you can freeze the mat to make it harder for them!
