Towards the end of August I will have one space becoming available at my base Codham Park Equestrian in Essex. Ideally I am looking for another good quality dressage horse to join my small team long term but I will consider short term training/schooling or sales livery. I am a former international 4* event rider who now is concentrating on a small team of dressage horses. I have a wealth of experience from backing and starting youngsters trough to advanced horses and the more difficult characters! I also regularly train with carlhestermbe. Meet Rambo 🐾🐕
Rambo is so excited to find his new home. He has so much love and affection to give and he has won the heart of everybody here at Danaher.
Rambo is a big strong lad, so we do think somebody with the strength to manage him on his lead would be best suited. He loves being the centre of attention (lucky you!), so we are looking for a pet free 16+ aged household.

You’ve got to assess ALL of the following:
💪 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲* 🐷 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘁* 👠 𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 ✨ 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 🔋 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 😇 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 🐎 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮 🥰 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲
If you’re horse is struggling in any of these areas, they may not be receiving a fully balanced diet. Here’s a helpful guide from Baileys Horse Feeds to check:

𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 – 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁? As a guide, total hard feed + forage/pasture per day:
✅ At rest through to light to moderate work = 1.5% – 2% of bodyweight.
✅ Moderate to hard work = 2% - 2.5% of bodyweight.
✅ Horses needing to lose weight should be fed the lower of these percentages.
Never go below 1.5% as fibre is so important to the physiological and psychological health of the horse and cutting back too much can cause problems.

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀? All of our feed sacks tell you how much you should be feeding your horse, depending on bodyweight and exercise levels. If you do not feed recommended amounts, your horse will not receive all the vitamins, minerals, protein and calories/energy they need. 😘
If you follow these three steps, your horse should have achieved optimum nutrition. Alongside correct management and training, they should therefore look, feel and perform at their best.
