I’m excited to share that I am now officially a Companion Obedience Specialist!🤩

Honestly, I never thought obedience would be my thing—until I took this program. It has completely changed my perspective, and now I can’t wait to bring everything I’ve learned into my own classes!

This journey has been an incredible learning experience, and of course, I’ve had my superstar Bonnie ready to learn it all with me. Together, we are working on and adapting the exercises to be more sighthound-friendly🐕

I’ll be launching new Companion Obedience classes soon, covering Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels in 4-5 week blocks. Keep an eye out for more details—whether you’re looking to build a stronger bond with your dog, improve their focus, or just have fun while learning, these classes will be a fantastic opportunity!

One of my favorite parts of running classes is finding a little extra time to work with my own special girl, Bonnie🩷

She’s such a smart, quick learner and never fails to amaze me with how quickly she picks up on new things! The other day, we perfected our weaves and worked on some of her favorite tricks, and she absolutely nailed it🤩

I know there’s a common misconception that greyhounds aren’t the brightest because of their soppy and clumsy nature (and yes, they are delightfully soppy!). But in my experience, they’re capable of so much more than people give them credit for. With the right approach, they thrive in training and can achieve incredible things🐕

This past Saturday at my greyhound fun class, we wrapped things up with a fun weaving exercise through the cones. It’s such a great activity to help build confidence, strengthen engagement with owners, and improve loose lead walking. Watching Trixie and Wizzy take on this challenge was such a joy!

I want to give a special shoutout to Trixie and Wizzy, who have been attending my classes for the past few weeks. Their progress has been nothing short of amazing, and I’m so incredibly proud of them:

🌟 Trixie has grown so much in confidence. Watching her blossom and find her inner bravery has been a truly heartwarming experience. She’s a little superstar!

🌟 Wizzy has developed the most wonderful bond with his humans. He’s catching on to training so quickly, and it’s clear to see how much love and trust they share—it’s beautiful to witness.

If you’re looking for a chilled, supportive, and safe space to train and socialize your sighthound with like-minded owners, I’d love to welcome you to one of my classes. They’re a great opportunity for training, confidence-building, and bonding with your furry friend.

Our amazing long-term resident, Lemon, joined me in my Greyhound Fun Class on Monday, and let me tell you—he absolutely blew me away! 🍋💛

This clever boy caught on so quickly to everything I was teaching, and I couldn’t be prouder of him. He also had the best handler cheering him on, our very own Auntie Chia, who helped him every step of the way🤩

Lemon got some much-needed socialization with other hounds, and while he was a little excited at first (who wouldn’t be with so many friends around?), he quickly settled down once training started. By the end, he was calm, focused, and showing everyone just how brilliant he can be💛

With time, patience, and regular attendance at my classes, I’m confident Lemon’s reactivity will continue to improve, and he’ll soon be ready to find his forever home. Lemon is the kindest, funniest, and most affectionate boy, and he truly deserves a family to call his own—a comfy sofa included! 🏡
