Due to our current groom moving to Australia we are looking to recruit a professional live in groom.

Choice of accommodation available, based in Little Bardfield Essex. UK

Our working week is a 5 day week with excellent facilities throughout. 8 ponies/horses to a very high standard between two members of staff.

The care of our horses is the top priority. The successful candidate will be expected to take full ownership of the yard on a day to day basis.

Duties will include, mucking out, turn in and out etc, putting on and off the walker, grooming and clipping, tack and general cleaning throughout. Liaising with suppliers for weekly orders, assisting the farrier and other trades, stable and field management to BHS standards. Show prep and assisting riders to a high standard.

Applicants should enjoy their job, take pride in their work, be clean, tidy and hard working. Experience at a competitive Show Jumping yard is essential.

The opportunity to travel and groom at some of the nicest FEI shows in Europe is available if desired. HGV a bonus but not essential.

Excellent contracted pay with pension scheme and generous holiday pay, dependent on experience. EU sponsorship a possibility for the right person. Tuesday to Saturday 7:30am to 4:30pm. Night Checks on rota.

That’s us all back home Frenches Farm unpacked and warmed up from a cold but great weekend at ARENA UK SHOW Centre for the British Showjumping Large Pony Premier. 🐴 🐴 🐴 Feeling so super pleased with Ziggy and Ruby Payne jumping there first 130cm Winter JA Classic. Cali boy however was my star 🌟 of the show winning the members cup and placing 🥇 115 🥈110 and finishing 🥉 in the 120 jump off class. It was a long weekend with early starts and late nights but well worth it! It was also lovely to see some friends we haven’t seen for a few months! Thank you as always to everyone that makes it happen for us all. You know who you are! Junior Show Arena UPDATE We have been harrowing the arena throughout the day today. It’s certainly not frozen, we have a nice firm footing. However cold weather is due again tonight but with our delayed start of 10:30am and lots of harrowing still tonight and in the morning we do still plan to run tomorrows Junior show. Should the arena freeze tonight we will inform all competitors at the earliest. The welfare of the horse will always come first.
