‼ WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP ‼ PLEASE SHARE ‼

Bully is one of our long stay residents here at Danaher and we are really desperate to find him the right match! He is a 7 year old Shar-pei who is house trained and ready to slot back into a home like a glove!

Every morning, Bully greets his handlers with a tail-wag and a full body wiggle and is always up for a fuss to start his day! We aren't sure why unfortunately Bully has been overlooked 😔.

What are we looking for for Bully?
1. A Pet Free Home: Bully is friendly with other dogs but right now we need a home where he can be the only one getting attention.
2. 16+ household: Shar-pei's can naturally be aloof and independent and we believe an older household would suit his needs best. He can also be rather strong on the lead, so a family who can manage his strength is needed.
3. Knowledge of Shar-pei's would be a benefit, somebody who gets Bully's personality and can help him adjust to his new environment.

💙 SUCCESS STORY: LOUIE 💙

We received this wonderful update about Louie (formally Buster). Owners Kerry and Richard have recently celebrated their first 'gotcha' anniversary with Louie.

"Louie has become such a large part of our lives, we don't really know how we managed without him. He always makes our hearts smile with his antics and goofy character. Not sure the furniture feels the same but we wouldn't change him for anything. He gives us so much and we feel privileged that he is happy to be with us. He is such a joy. ❤️

He has proven to be such a social dog with people and other dogs. He has many admirers where we live and likes to visit the neighbours when he gets the chance! 😀 Once again, thank you so much Danaher for Louie, he has completed our family!"

EDIT: Thank you ALL for your overwhelming support. We are pleased to update that Phoebus has found a foster home and we will keep you updated on his progress.

We are desperate to find little Phoebus a foster home to get him away from the kennels. This little man is petrified of most things currently after a big change in his life and we need a calming environment and a fosterer who can make sure he feels safe.

Phoebus is a Yorkshire terrier approx. 4-5 years old. We will consider a home with dogs but we do need a CHILD FREE home at this time. Phoebus also prefers to be around females, but we will assess each fosterer on an individual basis for Phoebus' best interests.

NEW VACANCY 📣 ANIMAL WELFARE MANAGER 💙

This person would be Responsible for assessing and monitoring the behaviour and welfare of all case and signed-over animals, particularly dogs, placed in the care of Danaher.

This will include devising behavioural plans, and carrying out or overseeing environmental and behavioural modification to maintain high standards of welfare, support successful rehoming and reduce return rates.

The post holder will also be required to support and train other staff and volunteers in the care, management and behaviour modification of the animals, particularly dogs, in their care. Responsible for managing the team leaders and ensuring all Animals at Danaher are kept in accordance with the licensing agreement of the RSPCA.

This post will deputise for the animal centre manager and manage a team of senior animal care assistants and that section.

MEET BOISEY 💙🐾

This little guy is looking for a special home to call his own forever. At 1 years old, the perfect set up for Boisey is a home without any children - we are keen to rehome him in an adult only home. Boisey also much prefers his own company and we are therefore looking for a pet free home so he can really relax and adapt to his surroundings.

Opal is a shy little girl who at the moment is preferring a hands off approach with her handlers. She needs to go into a home where she will learn that there is nothing to be afraid of and truly come out of her shell.

She can be a little sassy at the moment and when she is unsure will give a little hiss to let you know she is not happy and therefore children aged 16 plus would be the most suitable for her. In Memory of George Stutsbury.

George Stutsbury was a valued member of our Danaher community. Pictured here at one of our Danaher Fun Days, George was one of our volunteers who helped out for many many years with everything from collections to events. He was integral to Danaher Animal Home.

In his memory, we have received a £400 donation. His daughter Julia told us: "Dad would always help in any way; even if it was hand delivering calendars, dropping off newspapers, blankets and items to the charity shops. This charity was dear to his heart."

We are so thankful for this generous donation in memory of George and every single person at Danaher Animal Home would like to extend their thanks and condolences to his family. 💙

Hello, I'm Luna! 🐾💖 I am only 9 months of age and have already been in two homes in my short life. I cannot wait to find my forever home and humans... I cannot wait to meet YOU! I am a lively little girl full of love to give. I love walking and exploring but when I'm not busy I love to sit on your lap for a cuddle. I am told I have a very sweet nature. I am out-going and friendly with new people and love attention and being stroked by every one I meet. I have lived with children previously, my animal handlers suggest a home aged 10+. I am friendly with dogs and can meet other dogs nicely out on my walks. However, I have lived in two home with other dogs now and there have been times where I have felt uncomfortable around others. So I would now prefer to be the only dog in my new home. I am only young so I would love someone to continue training and socialisation with me. I would benefit from more socialising to the outside world, I travel well and would love you to take me on walks and adventures in new places.
