Black Cat Charlie is still being overlooked💔

At 7 years old, Charlie is a very relaxed lad who wants nothing more than to find the perfect home where he can curl up on a sofa and lap up some attention. Naps are one of his all time favourite activities, so expect lots of snoozing.

As a very laid back kitty, we can rehome Charlie with children aged 6 and above, however he will need a pet free home (and be the centre of attention like he deserves).

This stunning 3-year-old Presa Canario has blossomed in our care and is now ready to find her forever family. Xena is smart, loving, and gaining confidence every day. She loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is learning to walk beautifully on lead.

SUCCESS STORY: BAILEY 😍

Bailey has settled in perfectly to his new home and just look at these photos! His new forever family have provided us with the following update to share:

"We collected Bailey from you three weeks ago to take him to his new home.

So far he has been a dream - Lively and great fun but also very cuddly and seems like he genuinely appreciates his new home and family.
He has had many mad moments in the garden and is really enjoying his new doggy paddling pool!
He loves to go into Hertford town and enjoys all the attention he gets! He is also turning out to be a fantastic guard dog who barks when it warrants it.

We have all really gelled nicely and are forever grateful to Danaher for introducing us to Bailey. What a great little character he is!"

It seems like Bailey was just the perfect match for this family. Good luck boy! 💙

Calling all German Shepherd lovers! 🐾

Meet Freida, our stunning 4‑year‑old girl with a heart full of love and hope. 💛 Abandoned but not broken, Freida arrived at Danaher with a wagging tail and a gentle soul.

She walks beautifully on lead, enjoys short adventures, travels well, and adores being groomed. While she gets along with other dogs on walks, she’d thrive as the only pet in a calm, cat‑free home with children aged 12+.

Freida has hip dysplasia, but don’t let that hold you back, she doesn’t need surgery, just someone dedicated to helping her live comfortably with regular gentle walks, supplements, and maybe some pampering hydrotherapy.

Prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd place!

£30 per table (of up to 6 people). If you haven't already contacted us please email [email protected] to reserve your table!

Join us for a fun evening, bring your own food and drink (alcohol allowed!) and a selection of soft and hot drinks will be available to purchase. Every penny will be going to help the animals in our care.

SUCCESS STORY: HARRY 🎉🐾

Harry really is living his best life!! Take a look at this update we received from his forever family:

"Just wanted to reach out to let you know how Harry is doing in his new home after we adopted him on 11th May. I've attached some pictures too!

Harry is living his best life! He has settled in so well into our home and is a great addition to our family. He loves his daily walks, even though he is still a little weary of cars and vans, but he is excellent around people and he has been introduced to children too, and he has been absolutely brilliant!

He has gained a best friend, Luna the lurcher, and together they zoom around the garden, jump in the pond and then snuggle up together when they've worn themselves out.

We can't imagine life without him! Thank you for looking after him."

🌟 Meet Bingo – the brave beauty with a heart as big as her zoomies! 🌟

This gorgeous 4-year-old Lurcher has overcome a lot – she arrived at Danaher scared and in pain, and had to have one of her legs removed. But with love and patience, she's transformed into a sweet, playful soul who’s learning to trust again. 🐾💛

Now in a foster home, Bingo is thriving! She zips around the garden like a rocket on three legs (don’t tell her she’s missing one – she hasn’t noticed! 🚀). She’s still a little shy at first, but once she knows you, she’ll melt into your heart.

Bingo is looking for a special, patient home – adults only, no other pets, and someone who’s around most of the time to help her continue blooming. Experience with nervous or rescue dogs is a big plus.

She’s ready for love. Are you the one to show her what forever really means? 💕

FRANKIE SUCCESS STORY (Was Cosmo) 🥰😍

Wow, what an absolutely brilliant update we have had from Frankie's forever family. Frankie (who was Cosmo in our care) went through so much before finding his home... just look at that happy face!

"I thought I would send you a quick email regarding Frankie as it’s been one year since we adopted this lovely boy from Danaher.

He was in your shelter (I think) for quite a few months after recovering from a stabbing by his previous owner prior to us adopting him.

Well...what a darlin’ boy!...we call him the gentle thug (we only say that because he doesn’t seem to realise how big he is).

We had many training/behaviour and socialisation issues to try and overcome when we first got him but thankfully we have a friend who is a retired police dog handler/trainer/behaviourist and his help and advise has been invaluable to us. Although we are not fully ‘there’ yet it’s all moving forward in a positive slant. He’s an intelligent boy and loves being mentally worked as well as physically…thank goodness for secure dog parks as recall out in the open is still a bit of a no-no at the moment so at least he can run off some of his energy a good few times a week!

We still have quite a long way to go but we will get there and he certainly doesn’t ever miss out or get left behind (as you’ll see in one of the photos). I can control him quite well (thanks to our friend teaching me as well) so issues don’t get out of hand or last long. We have come so far in this last year and he is getting so much enrichment from everything these days.

We just love him!
