Over Christmas our homes are filled with lots of delicious food and drink, but unfortunately while they might still be delicious for dogs, they can be very dangerous too.

Here are some of the foods to be careful your dog avoids over the festive season.

Chocolate
Mince pies
Fruit cake
Onions
Stuffing
Cooked bones
Walnuts and macadamia nuts
Blue cheese
Alcohol

Keep them out of reach and get your pups some dog friendly treats instead!

🔆⚠️There is never an excuse for leaving a dog in a hot car. 'Not long' is still too long and it can be fatal. Even if the weather doesn't feel that warm, a car can become as hot as an oven! so call 999 if you see a dog in distress.

Manchester Dogs' Home in Harpurhey is in desperate need of a good facelift!
The grounds and home have been a little neglected of late, and we are in need of your help! If you could spare maybe just an hour or two to help tidy up the place we would be very grateful. Things we need help with are just general cleaning, litter picking, gardening and painting. All materials will be provided. (Although if you do happen to have a jet washer that you could bring, that would be amazing, we only have 2)

We are holding the volunteer weekend 31st Apr- 1st May.
Hot tea and coffee will be available all day, thank you for your support 🥰
