We have some new classes starting at Phase purple on 2nd December. They are for four weeks, there will be a break over Christmas into the new year.

We have puppy/ young dog session at 6 pm, this covers basic obedience, walking on lead, recall etc. you can book via

Puppy classes starting next week just outside Brampton, these classes can lean on to agility classes when your puppy is old enough

This is a four week block of puppy classes. Please ensure your puppy has had its vaccinations before coming to classes. Classes take place inside on a sand surface in the winter and outside on grass in the summer. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes for both scenarios. Tasty treats,

This is a four week block of agility foundations classes for beginners. your dog needs to be at least ten months old to take part. Classes take place inside, on a sand surface in the winter and outside on grass in the summer. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes for both scenarios.

Spaces available on barn hunt workshop
4th August Brampton near Carlisle. CA8 2HD with Annette Harper there is some lovely dog friendly accommodation near by and we could fit a couple of caravans on hard standing if required too. Two hour workshop. Dogs will work individually so suitable for reactive dogs. £45

Just a little heads up people…
There’s a local ‘dog park’ with dog agility equipment popping in their field….
It’s not to KC specification and is questionable safety wise… if you do come to Phase Purple to train I would highly recommend you do not do any equipment you have not been trained to use…
incorrect training or use of the equipment could seriously Injure your dog….
Jumping jumps that are too high….
Slippy contacts not coated in rubber crumb…

I did put a post on thier page expressing my concerns but this has been removed!!!

The last two days has been all about Scent Hurdling UK instructor training. I’m
Pleased to say I have passed the assement 🎉🎉🎉 so scent hurdling will
be coming to Phase Purple soon 🙂 looking forward to the have a go session we have planned on the 1st March 🙂

Something a little different

Barn Hunt is a brand new sport to the UK for dogs and handlers, it’s teamwork. Your dog uses natural instincts to find hidden tubes and you have to learn to read the dog’s signals to know when the rat tube(s) (not live rats) has been found and tell the judge. For some dogs ratting comes naturally, for others it is more scent detection.
