This is Stanley...he is totally adorable and always such a good boy when he comes for his hydrotherapy ❤️ He has been attending since Oct 2019!

The big difference with Stanley's sessions is that his devoted Mum and Dad don't stay with him. This is because that is what Stanley needs to focus and to get the best out of his sessions (he was a little monkey when Mum used to stay 😂🐵). He is happy to be left for it to be just the 2 of us.❤️❤️

At Northwest K9 Hydrotherapy every dog is treated as an individual and what is best for the dog always comes first...

I've really been spoiled recently... A lovely bunch of flowers (thank you Finn) then a special Hydro Gin (thank you Buddy) and an amazing bottle of red wine (thank you Dash). Sally was the QC for the wine... she approved Dash's choice 😉 Needless to say my patients know me well ❤️❤️

This adorable little lady is Romanian rescue, Soka. Her amazing Mum came prepared with a muzzle to her first session (she is muzzled trained) as she could be unpredictable around strangers and new situations. After a discussion with her Mum we agreed to try the session without the muzzle. You might wonder why?

The simple answer is her behaviour was likely due to fear of the unknown. Working within her comfort levels, at all times, and only moving on when she was confident saw her in the water, walking and taking treats off me by the end of the session. We are now working on permissive touch but again I only proceed when she is ready and stop when she wants me to.

This approach is not reserved for nervous or reactive dogs..but EVERY dog. They are all allowed to go at their own pace. That way we are able to get the best results and waggy tails.

Soka is such a cutie and her Mum is fabulous ❤️🐾🫧❤️🐾🫧

📣 Price Update Notification from 1st July 2026

I hope you and your dogs are keeping well. I’m writing to let you know about a small adjustment to my pricing structure. Like many small clinical practices, I’ve experienced significant increases in operating costs over the past year, including energy, treadmill maintenance, water treatment, equipment servicing, and insurance. To continue providing a safe, high quality service with the clinical standards you expect, I need to update my session fees.
From Wednesday 1st July 2026, the following prices will apply:
• Initial Assessment: £60
• Follow On Hydrotherapy Session: £45
• Fitness & Enrichment Sessions: £45
I’ve kept these changes as modest as possible while ensuring I can maintain the level of care, time, and individual attention each dog receives. Your support means a great deal, and I remain committed to offering evidence based, welfare focused hydrotherapy tailored to your dog’s needs.
If you have any questions about the new pricing or your dog’s treatment plan, please feel free to get in touch.

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Thank you so much for your continued support and friendship. 2025 has been a busy year with lots of highs and lows. It is wonderful to see improvements and discharges but we have seen many beloved patients travel across the Rainbow Bridge which is heartbreaking....every single time 😞

Beth has left to concentrate on her highly successful business BFH Veterinary Physiotherapy ... I know she will continue to be absolutely brilliant ❤️

I am delighted that Mel Brown from Browns Veterinary Physiotherapy has agreed to join Northwest K9 Hydrotherapy. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a passion for all things canine rehab.

I will be back to the centre on 6th January 2026 and look forward to seeing you all again and welcoming new patients.
