The dog training sheep are almost as bad as the hill flock
A huge benefit I like to use when moving a dog from a stage of herding on smaller flat parks to hill work is our rolling paddocks. Big stoney mounds where the dog looses site of the sheep and the handler help them learn in a more controlled way to be more confident on the hill.
Intermediate stage for our trained hill dogs but one I go back to often to correct bad habits in older dogs.
