Side By Side

Side By Side Welcome to my page where I'm working in the Community, please contact me for a chat. I have extensive experience in specialist care, over 30 years.

I am Welsh born and bred and passionate about ensuring people receive the best possible care and support to make sure you are aware of your options about your care. In my experience a more person-centred approach is needed for those most in need, enabling safe living and full independence at home is essential to their well-being. By having natural empathy and understanding towards the person’s nee

ds, I am able to assess and adapt to the person's health condition. I have the skill and experience to work alongside individuals with learning difficulties and/or dementia, autism -supporting you all on this journey. I can offer shopping support, meal preparation, dog walking, IT and light gardening duties, in addition to support with the client’s needs, whether these have been identified in a care and support plan or by the individual. If I am unable to help I will always try and find someone who can through my extensive network. What would you really love to do with your support? As well as the practicalities, I also specialise in creative therapy, such as capturing memories as the simple things give them the most pleasure. Evidence shows that creative therapy provides the person with a non-verbal means of expression through visual presentation. This helps release any negative emotions and ease improves their mental health and well-being. My main areas of creative therapy include storytelling, art, scrapbooking, joining music and memory groups, encouraging intergenerational relationships and interests. There has to be a mention to the wonderful benefits of dogs, both of my spaniels have been involved in supporting people and bringing great comfort to them. All the above can be discussed in further detail on initial consultation. Charges will be arranged at time of consultation depending on the individual’s needs. Please don't hesitate to contact me for a friendly chat either by telephone or email as messages are not always seen on FB
