Two Dogs Coffee Roasting Company

Two Dogs Coffee Roasting Company Brecon based Coffee Roasting Company Ltd Two Dogs Coffee Roasting Company is a coffee roasting company in Treorchy in the Rhondda Valley.

Once a major mining town, Treorchy seems to be having something of a renaissance of late, with a number of new artisan shops, cafes and eateries opening up. A contract engineer for many years John had always had a yearning to do something more artisan and after seeing the number of new cafes opening in the area, mostly serving the same brands of coffee, John started looking into the art of coffee

roasting. Having attended a coffee roasting course, John bought a roaster and started roasting. Sian, who worked in hospitality for many years and formerly owned her own cafe, also has a love of good coffee and is supporting John with the business side of running the company which is named in honour of their two dogs, Jack and Gelert. Together we hope to pass on their passion for good coffee, roasted to order and supply to cafes and individuals through their website.

The following article highlights one of the problems we are encountering at the moment along with increased prices for cups, milk, bags, rates, staff costs etc. We are trying to counter these increases by reducing our stock holding (we now roast 20 rather than 26 different beans) and simplifying our takeaway menu but unfortunately we still need to increase our prices in order to continue trading. We would like to point out that any reductions in our costs are also passed onto the customer.
You can help yourselves, us and the planet by bringing in your own containers & cups into the shop for refills at reduced cost.

Coffee drinkers are set to feel the pinch from high prices after crops got hit by drought and heavy rainfall.

We are advising dog owners not to feed their pets specific dog chews from China following concerns from the European Union (EU) of a possible link to serious behavioural changes.

The affected products include 'Barkoo' chews and 'Chrisco' chews. A full list of products can be found here: https://www.food.gov.uk/news-alerts/news/precautionary-advice-issued-to-pet-owners-on-dog-chews-linked-to-illness

Reports from the EU suggest that these products have been potentially linked to dogs experiencing what is known as ‘werewolf syndrome’. Symptoms include panic attacks, aggression, spasms, epileptic fits and in some cases death. There is no confirmed distribution of the chews to the UK and no cases have been detected in the UK.

If you are a dog owner and you have any of these products, please cease feeding your dogs these chews immediately. If your dog is unwell and has been fed any of the dog chews listed, you should seek veterinary advice and provide detailed information to the vet about the foods and treats your dog has been fed.

If you are a vet who suspects any cases associated with dog chews, you can report them through the Animal and Plant Health Agency’s (APHA) Small Animal Surveillance: https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/evergreen-assets/safelinks/1/atp-safelinks.html
