Herd dynamics are very interesting especially when you introduce a new horse , the herd split and Scooby and Smokie were with her for the first 2 days , now Kaitlin is tactfully hanging around wanting to be her friend and Smokie has gone back to Shadow .The biggest challenge is it has turned very warm and the gang like to come into the stable yard to get out of the heat and flies but its not great when you have a new horse as its a small environment so we have put Dolly inside a stable and the others can roam free around her and say hello which seems to have worked!

Dolly was introduced to the mixed herd this morning, Scooby tried his luck as saw a new pretty mare so has been following her around but keeping his distance as he was told off by her meanwhile Smokie has decided to babysit her into the group all is calm so far! #horsepower #horses #horse #horsesofinstagram #naturallifeforhorses
Today we welcomed Dolly from The Isle of Wight , her owner had a sweet pony with us 23 years ago called Shane , time flies!
Timmy coming every afternoon to have his muzzle off , i have to say our invention has been a success! 3 horses have been wearing the muzzles since April during the day they have never been caught on anything rarely come off and 2 of those horses had laminitis last year but this has enabled them to be out with their friends living a normal life #horses #horsesofinstagram #naturallifeforhorses

When you need suncream on ... Shadow looking embarrassed as he has cream put on , when we get extreme heat and sunshine ( not often in Wales! ) his nose may burn and scab up so we put either suncream or Sudocreme ( used for babies bottoms so harmless but protective) it looks like we are putting it on thick but I can assure you it is gone within 24 hrs but also the scabs . NO HORSES WERE HARMED IN THIS VIDEO !
