Do you own stables or a farm where you live ?? We often have feral, or semi feral cats who have come from areas that are too dangerous for them to re-released there. These cats sometimes are not happy in an indoor environment, so farms are a perfect place for these cats to be. It offers them freedom and they do their part to keep pests away. Even in these scenarios we do homecheck, the holding must have a suitable place for the cats to be kept in for 4/6 weeks while they get used to their new surroundings before being released. We can also provide temporary housing for the cats during their quarantine period before being released. Then all you need do is provide food and shelter for the cats. A happy fed cat will work harder to keep the rodents away as they'll have more energy. If you can offer our feral cats a place of freedom on your farm/stables/holdings give us a shout 😁 these cats will be neutered and chipped wormed fleaded South Wales This is the life of a farm cat He's free, he's happy, he's completely bonded to his new mum and to the amazing place where he lives.

Being on the farm isn't a bad thing, I wanted to show you this as there are mixed opinions on farm cats. They have the choice, some come around and when they do, its on their own terms and when they are ready. They are free to do as they please. Most farm cats like to be involved in all tasks 😹 but thats there choice.jobs include playing with the mice . They are free and neutered chipped and vet checked south wales area x

Our Story

Established in 1989 , Happy Horse was the first private retirement home for horses in the UK. The home is a ninety acre farm situated in a peaceful green valley, with lush, rolling green fields surrounded by mature trees and hedges. It is set in the heart of a National Park, in the midst of beautiful, spectacular countryside.

Our purpose is to create a haven where owners have the opportunity to retire their horse with maximum care and attention.

The Staff are highly qualified, motivated and committed to caring for our elderly equines.

Horses come from far and wide because of the reputation and trust we have built up over the years, at Happy Horse they return to their natural lifestyle and herding instinct to enjoy their twilight years.
