*We are pleased to say that Jessica is now booked!*

✨We currently have three 19 Year old ladies awaiting their forever homes in our care ✨

Older cats take three times longer to find new homes compared to kittens but they have so much love to give someone in need of a friend💕

Here are some reasons to consider adopting a Mature Moggie:

😺They have an established personality

😺 They’ll be a calming companion

😺They may be more suited to a busy lifestyle

😺They can still be fun

😺They can be great pets for families

😺You’ll be giving them a second chance

😺They could still live a long time

😺You’ll be helping us care for more cats!

Take a look at our website to find out more about our cats for adoption- https://www.cats.org.uk/bredhurst -all

Even if you are not in a position to adopt one of our cats, we would really appreciate if you could share our post!😻

Mittens - adopted March

She has completed our home! She’s so confident and loves a fuss, and definitely a little cheeky streak coming through at times. We adore her and are so glad we get to give lots of love and fuss.
Thank you!

Ash (Male, 10 years old)

Ash was returned to the Centre as he was being bullied by a neighbouring cat which caused him stress related cystitis.

Ash is a shy but sweet natured boy. He does enjoy the outdoors, especially in the summer months but otherwise the comfort of his igloo bed. When he was younger, he was injured and this has left him with a deformed back leg, it little shorter than the others but this doesn’t stop him getting around just fine. Ash may be susceptible to episodes of cystitis at times of great stress but this is currently controlled with a urinary diet.
Ash will make a wonderful companion in an adult home without other pets. He really deserves a chance at a forever home as he has never come into care through any fault of his own.

Can you offer this handsome boy a forever home?

Monty (14 years old, male)

Monty came into the Centre as sadly his previous owner passed away.

Monty is looking for a quiet adult only home he can relax in and find his feet at his pace. Monty still enjoys going outside so will need to have access to a garden once he has fully settled in. He needs to be the only pet in his new home, without other cats or dogs.

Can you offer this handsome boy his perfect retirement home?

😻Golden Oldie😻

Hattie (female, 19 Years old)

Hattie sadly came into the centre after her owners had a change in health.

Hattie is an affectionate lady who would just love some company to spend her days with. She loves curling up on the sofa either next to, or on you. She is searching for her perfect retirement home, where she can be the centre of attention!
She does enjoy sunbathing in the garden now that we are getting to the warmer months. We suspect that Hattie is partially deaf, so she could be homed with older children (8+), as long as they are old enough to know not to pull her about. She does like an occasional play with her toys and this is usually followed by a long nap!
Hattie would prefer a home where there would be people around with time to spend with her, possibly working from home or retired. Hattie does have a grade 3/6 heart murmur and requires blood pressure tablets which can be given in her dinner each day.

Could you give this gorgeous older girl the life she deserves?

*Hattie is currently in foster- so an appointment will need to be arranged to meet her*

Milo - Adopted March

Milo is loving his new home and we are loving him! He has settled in well and likes exploring around the house, always something new to see and lots of fuss! For a first family cat he's been so gentle and cuddly, happy to be picked up, loving all the lap strokes and fuss.

Thank you very much

Eddie - adopted March

I was expecting to send you an Eddie update in a week or so after he had settled. But I can’t believe how well and quickly he has made himself at home!

Eddie wasn’t scared at all when he first got here, just very adventurous. He has been loving his scratches and sleeping on my bed. He has also shown his feisty side a few times, but this has been getting less frequent over the past couple of days, and it is mainly when he’s not getting enough attention! This is definitely now Eddie’s house, not mine!

I have attached some pictures of Eddie. His carrot catnip toy is his personal favourite, and he loves to snooze on his heated blanket!

I will try to send you an update later down the line when he explores outside.

Thank you so much for helping me to adopt Eddie and making it such a straightforward and easy process!

There are many more happy Eddie years to come!

Evie - Adopted March

Evie settled in pretty much immediately. She has been enjoying getting to know us and has definitely made herself at home.
She absolutely loves sitting on our laps too.
Evie has a sensor ball which she loves chasing after, a fishing rod toy and goes mad for the laser pen.
We are so happy Evie likes her new home. She is such a sweetheart.

**Reserved for a meet appointment**

😻Golden Oldie😻

Jessica (19 years old, female)

Jessica arrived at our centre after her owner was moved into a care home.

She’s a sweet, older lady who loves companionship. In her previous home, Jessica often enjoyed sitting on her owner’s lap. She’s accustomed to a quiet, adult-only environment and is hoping to find a similar home.

Despite her age, Jessica still has so much love to give and is patiently waiting for the right retirement home. She enjoys leisurely strolls in the garden and soaking up the sun, so she’ll need access to a garden once she’s settled in. Additionally, she would prefer to be the only pet in her new home.

Could you provide Jessica with the peaceful, loving home she deserves?

Dylan and Ruby -a beautiful senior pair - adopted March

Dylan and ruby were a little shy and nervous for the first few days but have really been settling in and finding some confidence now.

Both of them love a cuddle and a brush every now and then, Dylan has been showing some signs of putting on some weight now so is looking lovely and healthy.
