We have been caring since 1908 and are an independent veterinary practice. Should your pet need after hours care, hospitalisation or other specialists procedures, our veterinary hospital is only 15 minutes away in Upminster and is open 24 hours

🎄☃Wylie Advent Calendar Day 19🎄☃

Today is a big shout out to our wonderful team - being in the veterinary profession is challenging, each day is a mixture of happiness, sadness and anxiety. Many of our team, both vets and nurses went into the profession because they want to make a difference, they want to help animals and each other.

We are truely blessed to have such a wonderful team at Wylies. We want to do all we can to support them. We actively promote good mental health, menopause day, international womens day, team lunches, self care to name just a few.

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of our team. We are here for our patients and each other always ❤ Thank you team Wylies ❤

🩵 Meet Donny, a labrador retriever 🩵

He is 10 weeks old and registered with us today. He is coming back in on saturday for a full health check 💚

Today he was treated to a matching bed and harness, what a lucky boy 😍

We look forward to more cuddles on Saturday 🫶

Meet Kairo 🩵

Kairo came in for his 2nd Vaccination and advice on changing to a raw meat diet 💜

Here he is with Katie our new Front of House team member 🥰 cuddles really are the best part of our job 😍

He was such a good boy and very patient whilst we spoke to his Dad about changing his diet 😅

He also joined our preventative plan, which is a plan that saves you money and spreads the cost of your preventative needs 🧡 You also get 10% off a raw meat diet and we only sell products RRP 💚

Both of them were so well behaved, they had treats and cuddles from our reception team too 🥰

What is Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)?

Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria develop defences that protect them from antibiotic medications, making treatment less effective ☹️

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is an increasing problem worldwide, affecting both human and animal health. Antibiotics are essential when treating many conditions in animals and people, but bacteria are becoming resistant to many antibiotics that we rely on in human and veterinary medicine 😬

AMR and the environment
🌎 The environment is at risk if antibiotics aren’t disposed of properly. If antibiotics are disposed of inappropriately e.g. via household waste, this can contribute to antimicrobial resistance in the environment
💚 Always return unused or out of date antibiotics to your vet for safe disposal
🩵 Antimicrobial resistance is one of the biggest global health issues of our time. We must act, together.

Our practice is taking part in the antibiotic amnesty this November 🫶

Clients can return any unused or out of date antibiotics to us for safe disposal.

Meet Boss and Toby 🩵

They both had an appointment with one of our directors Pascal last week and were such good boys 🩵

🤔 Did you know all of our vets including our directors work in both locations The Wylie Veterinary Centre our 24-hour hospital in Upminster and our Wylie Wellness Centre Brentwood

Boss is a little nervous around other dogs so they all waited away from other dogs which made his experience much nicer... We will always accommodate your dogs needs 🫶

💜 We will always ask if we can say hello and give them a treat
🩷 We will make sure you're comfortable waiting around other pets and if not that's not a problem

Keep an eye on our socials as we are introducing a new type of waiting area that ALL dogs are going to love 🧡 It will relax and help tire them out before their appointment making a visit to the vets an enjoyable experience for them and you 👍🥰

It was our cat only clinic yesterday, so here's a couple of our purrffecct patients 😻

🩵 Percy the amazing Savannah Cat (Savannahs are an energetic breed known for their wild look and playful nature! This unique breed is a cross between a domestic cat and a serval, a wild African cat known for its tall, slender build and large ears. We do not see many Savannahs, mainly due to their size and nature. Percy has a large outdoor run but he also comes indoors for cuddles with his human and doggy friend🥰

🩷🩵🩷 Mummy BP and her two gorgeous kittens Ralph and Lauren ... Just too cute... a gorgeous, healthy family of Ragdoll's 😍

Mabel was in today for her second vaccine (shes only 4 months old) and older brother Rodney kept her company 🫶

They were both so well behaved and loved the treats given by reception 😍

Look who had a Perfect Fit harness today ..... little Dolly 🩷

Shes only 3 months old and was so well behaved, all she wanted was cuddles 😍

Thanks for visiting Dolly, your harness not only looks amazing (with the matching lead 🥰) , but it's safe as it pulls on your chest bone, doesn't ride up and you have full range of movement of your shoulders 💜

It's also modular so we can change the 3 pieces individually to change the fit if needed and its machine washable 🧡

Dolly you are a delight !!! We cant wait to see you grow 🫶
