🏆️ DOG OF THE WEEK 🏆️

Every dog at Hope holds a special place in our hearts - they all amaze us in different ways, every single week!
But each Sunday, we shine the spotlight on one standout superstar… and this week, it’s time to celebrate…

🥁🥁🥁 ROOSTER! 🎉

Rooster is an incredibly clever boy. Despite experiencing hearing loss, he hasn’t let it hold him back one bit. With the help of his best pal Charlie, he’s been learning sign language! This week, he absolutely smashed his "down-wait" training, holding it for nine whole steps! 👏🐶

We’re SO proud of his progress! 👑 Best of all - you can adopt Rooster! Check out his profile here: https://www.hoperescue.org.uk/adopt-rooster

Please welcome Carrie Limer to Angelwood Lodge. She came into our care as a Foster Dog from Hope Rescue and I just would not let her go. Today she was officially adopted. Welcome to the family Carrie.

I get to see this daily at this time of year so thought I would share it. Darren is trying very hard to sweep Daphne off her feet.

I have never been a fan of raw food, especially as you can get the same food in a cooked form which does not hold the bacteria, but interesting to hear from the vets on For the Love of Dogs that dogs can get Neo Sporasis and Toxoplasma Gandii bacteria from raw food.

Rover do not carry out any checks on the Home Boarders they advertise. Many are unlicensed. This was in USA but it can easily happen here. Please do not use an unlicensed boarder. They cannot be insured because in the UK they are operating illegally!

Sarah Chen lost her dog Zoe in March, after she said a sitter from the Rover app left Zoe alone in their house with the door open.

Update - Louise's adoption has been approved so she is going to her new home.
Louise is being fostered by me so I know her really well. She is a beautiful dog, very shy, and does not have one aggressive bone in her body. Her go to behaviour when scared is to run, or freeze. She loves the other dogs and does need to go to a home with another dog who can emotionally support her and with humans who will be patient and calm with her. If anyone is interested please apply through Hope Rescue, I have absolutely no say in where she goes.

Louise is a Bichon Frise looking for her forever home.
