What a fabulous day watching all our competitors, big and small, compete in the Annual QRC Christmas Show Jumping held at Kings Sedgemoor Equestrian Centre.

We hope you had fun and enjoyed your day.

Big shout out to our members that helped support the day by being part of the arena party, collecting ring stewards, scorers, running errands and the all important refreshments. These events take time and effort to put on, and they are a TEAM effort - THANKYOU

One of the highlights was the Puisance class - we had some amazing riders, making it to a winning height of 1.45m 💪

We are looking for new committee members to join the QRC team. We have a couple of specific roles to fill due to current members standing down due to family commitments, these are a new treasurer and a social fund raising committee member.

You won’t be left to get on with it, you are part of a
Team, and you will be supported at all times.

You don’t need qualifications to be a committee member, sense of humour and enthusiasm is all that is required 😁

Hunter Trial Cancellation 😞
All competitors have been advised
Hannah and her team at Mendip Plains Equestrian Centre have taken back the date so riders keep a date in the diary 😀
Unfortunately the support received in terms of entries at early bird close were under 30 with the costs of running this event in excess of £5500 it was not a risk we could afford to take.
Refunds will all be processed shortly via equo back to payment cards
Thank you to TDRC, support team and all our lovely riding club volunteers- we had hoped it would been a fantastic day 🙁 and I encourage you to take part of get involved with the new alternative event 😀

Sadly the riding club have had to make the decision to cancel their Hunter Trails due to run with us on the 13th of October.

We do not want to leave an empty space in the calendar for you! Due to mine and my families logistics over the next ten days we are unable to pull together and run our own Hunter Trails in this time. However! We will run an Arena Eventing competition as we did earlier on this year with the SJ’s on the surface and a selection of XC fences on the grass area around the arena.

We can’t wait to see you all! This competition WILL run even if we only have 20 entries!

Entries normally close 7 days before this type of competition but we will leave them open until the clock strikes midnight on Monday the 7th, entries will remain open if we have enough space and at an additional late fee of £5.

The marquee is up and it’s looking amazing

Timings: 7pm doors, 8pm food followed by dancing to The Flings

Location and Parking: Shapwick Cricket Club, TA7 9LN, parking is on the pitch (grass)

Dress code: Smart casual, anything you are comfortable and warm in (this is a jodhpur free zone 😜)

Quantock Riding Club invites you, along with your family and friends to celebrate 40 years of our fantastic club on Friday 13th Sept at Shapwick Cricket Club.

It is set to be a great evening, a chance to celebrate the countless successes our club has had over the years and more importantly dance to The Flings and enjoy a tipple from the bar. Tickets include a hog roast.

Do not miss out on our ‘early bird’ ticket prices. Adults, £20 and u18s, £15, as prices will increase on 18th August.
