Welcome back, it's been a while! We hope you have enjoyed the lovely Spring and are looking forward to the summer.
We enjoyed a very quiet April and were busy with boarding grandchildren instead of boarding dogs - it made a lovely change but was even more tiring!
May has been busy, with Ben, Pip, Poppy and Leo boarding, walks and day care with Wilf, Eli, Cooper and Pepper, and visits to feed out feline friend Chloe. June and July are going to be equally busy.
We have also been occupied building our display for the Flamborough Flowerpot Festival - on a dog theme of course. We hope you like our efforts.
Here's a bumper crop of pics to catch up.....

What a busy week! We have had three resident guests at different times - Martha, Poppy and Nancy; visits to feed our feline friend, Chloe; and it was also nice to see Eli and Cooper again for the first time since November.
Martha joined us on five runs in our Couch to 5k journey and really enjoyed it.
We are now going to enjoy a brief rest and a dog-free week and look forward to our next guests, Ben and Pip.
We have a bumper crop of photos to capture some of our exploits.
See you in a fortnight!

At last some sunshine and days warm enough to get the shorts out. No doubt that was just to lull us into a false sense of security before winter returns for the rest of March. But, at least it's not long now until the clocks change and there will be lighter nights for our evening walks.

We have had a lovely week with Martha and Poppy, and one day we borrowed Wilf for a lovely walk on the beach from South Landing to Danes D**e. Here are some of our memories....

Well the Hoover has been extra busy this week as we welcomed our favourite Golden Lab Named Martha for a two week stay. She has already enjoyed walks along the shoreline to Sewerby, on the clifftops at Thornwick, and in Danes D**e. She loves playing in the garden and we will certainly feel fitter by the end of her stay. We will also be selling cushions filled with all her hair!

This week we have had boarding grandchildren as well as boarding dogs, and it was lovely to have two young apprentices to help with our old friend Poppy.
Ronnie went home and we look forward to seeing him again for a longer stay in the summer. As you will see he insisted on dragging us into the Rose and Crown for a farewell drink.

Welcome back and thank you for looking at our page.
It's been a while - we took most of January off to catch up with family and friends, have a few days away and carry out exciting chores like decorating. Now we are back to it and its business as usual.
Over the past few weeks we've enjoyed walks with Jack and the magnificent Newfie, Blue. Old friends Molly and Bobby came back to stay with us, and regulars Nancy and Ronnie have also returned for holidays.
Winter seems to be dragging on, cold and grey, and we are looking forward to Spring and some warmer weather.
Please note that we are fully booked for 2025 and have our first booking for 2026. We are unable to take on any new customers, sorry.
Here's a bumper crop of photos to catch up on things.....

Well, that's it for another year!
201 nights of boarding, 20 dogs, a couple of cats, some fish and a family of ferrets - it's been another busy but wonderful year. Thank you to all our furry and scaly friends for the pleasure they have given us, and to you, their servants, for your support once again.
We wish you all a very happy Christmas and all the best for a healthy and happy 2025.
To finish the year are a few final pictures of the dogs we have looked after over the last couple of weeks of 2024.
See you in 2025.
Merry Christmas,
Pam and Roy

What a week! Lots of snow, ice, rain and wind, and a bit of sunshine as well. As well as variety in weather we've also enjoyed a mix of dogs: Labrador, Border Collie, Patterdale, Manchester Terrier, Springer X and Chinese Crested Powderpuff. We've just counted up that we've cared for about 40 breeds of dogs over the years (plus several "unknown or mixed heritage"). Still waiting for a St Bernard or Great Dane!

After a few restful nights away in the Dales and a trip to the Midlands to see the grandchildren it was back to work with the lovely Florence coming to stay. It was nice to see her again, up to her antics in the mud and enjoying herself on the beach.
We have a busy week ahead with Bruce, Eli, Cooper, Jack, Heidi, Milo and Chloe the cat. let's hope the sunny and dry weather continues.

We have enjoyed another lovely week with Martha and Poppy E boarding, a day with Wilf, and walks with Jack, Heidi and Milo. We have been on the beach, to Sewerby Hall and woods, to Danes D**e and in cafes and the pub; a busy week for all.

Unfortunately there was also very sad news when we were informed that one of our first and most regular guests, Poppy S, the Collie from Haxby, had passed away at the good old age of fifteen and a half. Poppy had spent well over 100 nights with us and was a lovely girl. She will be sorely missed and our thoughts are with Terry on his loss.

We are taking a little break next week and heading to the Dales for a few nights R&R. We will catch up with you again in a fortnight, but in the meantime here are a few of our memories from the past week....

We seem to have had a week of alternating nice sunny autumnal days and then wet windy wintery days. Whatever the weather we have still enjoyed our walks with Poppy, Jack, Milo and Heidi.
Today we have been joined by the lovely Martha for a week's stay and she has already reminded us of how much she loves muddy puddles.

This week we are pleased to introduce two new customers, Milo and Heidi, who are having a weekly walk. Our old friend Poppy is back for a two-week holiday and she has been enjoying walks with Jack, even though it has mostly been wet and cold.
On Wednesday it was nice to have a visit from Jasper and to have a drizzly walk along the beach from Sewerby to Flamborough.
Hopefully we can cling on to a couple of dry and sunny days in the coming week.
