🐱🐾Esme has come to the practice for her regular Blood Pressure check. Esme is a senior lady who developed Hypertension (high blood pressure) last summer. Since then she has been treated like a queen when she visits us. This ensures a calm and happy environment for an accurate reading.

Hypertension is a very serious condition in cats, it can cause multi organ strain which can lead to kidney disease, strain on the heart and brain. Blindness is also a high risk, with 50% of hypertensive cats have changes reported in their eyes.

This disease can be scary but, we are always here to answer any questions and always happy to check your cats blood pressure, all you have to do is call. Blood pressure can be taken as easy as Esme is demonstrating from a leg or even tail.

We are looking forward to seeing Esme again, our fluffy little squishy 🥰

Horace has come to see our wonderful nurses for a nail clip 🐱💅

Cat's can be tricky characters and sometimes hate their feet being touched. Our nurses here at Priory Vets know that by using the correct steps such as, using a cat calming specific diffusers, give them time to bond with the nurse and give them breaks with treats, it can make the process so much more calmer and smoother.

Look how good Horace is being, he is a superstar! Not every cat can be as good as Horace but, we sure do our very best to make these special felines as comfortable as possible 🥰

We can't wait to see Horace again for his next manicure 🐾
