FAQ'S - Treats

I use treats our or walks to for recall, enrichment and games.

I always check with owners if their dogs have any allergies before giving treats.

I cook liver as a high value treat, once a week or so, and freeze it for use. All the dogs LOVE the liver. 😋

I also take a grain free kibble for some little games or sniffing enrichment, but some of the dogs turn their noses up at it as they know I have the liver! 🤣

Sometimes, I'll bring some chopped up deli sausages for a change.

We currently have an advent calendar in the car, so the dogs can take turns opening a day on the calendar for a bit of fun after our walk.

I am conscious not to over treat the dogs when they are with me.

FAQ'S - Transport/Car set up

I currently use our family car for dog walking. I have a Travall head guard and boot devider to fit two dogs comfortably in the boot, or 3 if two dogs are from the same household and can share a space.

I can fit two dogs safely on the back seats. I use bucket seats and blankets on the back seats to make it clean, comfortable, and separate for each dog. I only have dogs who are calm travellers on the back seats.

I like to give the dogs their preferred space. Some are more comfortable in the footwell or on the back seat. Some are more comfortable in the boot.

If I need extra space, sometimes Amber will travel upfront with me.

All spaces have doggy seat belts, so all dogs are secure in the car when travelling.

I also carry leads, treats, clean water, towels, and human and dog first aid kits in the car.

I'm hoping to get a new (to me) vehicle in the new year, specifically for dog walking, to make it even better for your dogs travelling with me.

Last Friday we paid our first visit to in Barming, after our walk.
I was a bit apprehensive to take both dogs in, although they are both really good, but we were made to feel really welcome by Tracey, who is clearly passionate about dogs and dog food/nutrition.
Our dogs enjoyed having a sniff and exploring all the treats. They chose a gift for one of our doggie friends, who we miss, and they got a delicious pig in a blanket each for their help. 😋 🐖 🐾
