🧑🎄🐾 📦 We have had more lovely parcels delivered to the sanctuary in the last couple of weeks in response to our appeals for dog coats and Christmas bits and we would like to say a HUGE thank you to the wonderful people who sent them in and for their amazing kindness and generosity in buying, donating and in some cases, making them and other bits and bobs ⭐️😍🐾 Some parcels had notes/labels in or attached and some didn’t so we hope you can spot yours below 💖 Thank you so much for thinking of our dogs 💖💖💖💖💖🐾❄️☃️ It gets very cold up on our hill in Dorset and we have lots and lots of dogs of all shapes and sizes to keep warm in winter 🥶 We also have a lot of shredders so a continual back-up store of coats is needed! 🎶 “What’s it all about Alfie?” It’s all about mad fun for our lad Alfie Boston 💖 He was originally with us on rehab but his general overzest for life and his history meant he was safer to stay here so he did 🙂 years later he is now a little more silver than he was but he hasn’t yet slowed down 😃 He is openly disdainful of most things 🤣 but he secretly loves cuddles and fuss and the occasional ‘coughs’ treat 😉❤ #thebirkettsmithanimalsanctuary #bsas
💕 Samantha and Simon (the twins) our bonded siblings are rommies who like many roms, were unable to cope with domestic life. They came to us a number of years ago and they live very happily together, are content to go on lead and are multi-handler with the staff. They live in the heart of the main sanctuary area and play out next to other dogs all day. They are a beautiful bouncy, playful pair who truly adore each other, love sanctuary life and living together in their shared house 🏠🐾
Our wonderful sanctuary lad Woody Woodster never, never ever misses the opportunity for a belly rub….happiness right there💖🐾😍

Boss baby our ‘cheeky’ Boston has been with us a good while now….as mentioned he’s a bit of a monkey 🙊 and needs careful handling at times but where there is a will there is a way (that should be our motto! 🤣) When he is in a particularly ‘cheeky’ mood the staff have a “rub a dub” song which they sing to him and it works like a snake charm enabling them to give him some love and fuss 💖
Yep 🤣 like all our dogs he is a real individual but if music be the food of love….play on 💖🐾🎶
Isn’t she wonderful 💗Our fabulous Bones playing a game with Matt and a very large rope 💖 Sanctuary beauty Bones is high level dog reactive and functions best with confident handlers. She is such a lovely, happy girl, has worked hard on her issues, and has three handlers that she adores 😍
Question: Is Reggie ever upright? 🙃🙃🙃 Answer: Occasionally but never for long 🤣🤣 Reggie is a sanctuary lad that like too many others was due to be Pts by his “owners” however, he lives very happily here and loves his best mate Matt 💕🐾
