🎉 Celebrating Ralph's Retirement! 🎉

Today, we bid a fond farewell to Ralph our Brick Supervisor, who is retiring from Ketley Brick after an incredible 50 years of unbroken service!

Ralph joined us in July 1974, starting with the manual handling of bricks. Over the years, he has witnessed and adapted to every transformation, from traditional methods to modern robotics.

As he retires at 69, we celebrate his countless contributions and wish him all the best in this new chapter of life.

Thank you, Ralph, for your remarkable service and the legacy you've built here at Ketley Brick. 🍻

Ketley quarry tiles have been used in many of the shared spaces at Mustard Wharf; a new boutique build-to-rent residential scheme of 247 luxury apartments over 3 separate buildings within the South Bank regeneration area in Leeds. Designed by Lister and Lister, there is a high quality, contemporary finish to this scheme and it boasts some exceptional amenities for residents too.

Our quarry tiles have been installed in the communal areas in laying patterns which are bold and striking; the brick-sized tiles have been laid as a border in the entrance and around the perimeter of the space whilst for the infill space a pattern of one brick-sized tile alongside 3 perpendicular tiles has been used.

The result is spectacular and the project is a great example of how effective the creative use of laying patterns can be.

Our Staffordshire Blue Bricks are ideal for textured brickwork.

These bricks were specified on this striking house extension by
Mulroy Architects, where textured brickwork was used to give a unique update to this end of terrace Edwardian home.

Our Staffordshire blue bricks were chosen specifically, as they had the right characteristics for this type of brickwork. Textured brickwork exposes bricks to particularly severe freeze thaw conditions and Ketley Brick are the only manufacturer to have tested their bricks for this.

We love the use of our red quarry tiles in this Victorian terrace in Ireland.

This renovation project in Phibsborough, North Dublin, by set out to restore and reconfigure a nineteenth-century red brick Victorian terrace house. A small extension was also added at the rear of the house to create a new kitchen.

The Architect's were keen to introduce brick detailing into the project interior, taking inspiration from the exterior of the property.

The final design sees our red quarry tiles travelling through the interior spaces connecting the new and existing rooms. They have been used on both walls and floors and a slight change in the brick bond has been used as the brick pattern moves from room to room.

This project is a great example of the versatility of Ketley quarry tiles as a result of their excellent performance characteristics. They have the highest rating for slip resistance and are considered not to be slippery in wet conditions. They are therefore a good choice for wet rooms and bathrooms. while in the new kitchen, the rich red tones of the clay are set off by the white lime walls and work beautifully with the oak furniture both on the walls and on the floor.
