Meet Dolly! 💚🐶 Dolly is a 4 year old Terrier Cross in search of a forever home. This sweet girl has a lot of love to give, she can't wait to meet her new family. Her favourite things to do are going on adventures with her human friends and playing with tennis balls. After a long day of playing, there's nothing Dolly loves more than snuggling up on the sofa. Dolly would like to be the only pet in her new home so she gets all of the attention! A secure garden with 5ft fences would be ideal so Dolly can have fun playing with all of her toys. Remember Goose? The brave golden retriever puppy who was born without bones in his front right paw? On Wednesday, our little warrior underwent surgery to have his leg amputated. We're happy to share that Goose was incredibly brave and is now recovering well, surrounded by the love and care of his forever family💚 A huge thank you to the amazing vets and nurses at Minster Vets who made Goose feel comfortable throughout. We'd also like to extend a massive thank you to all of our wonderful supporters who donated, sent love, and kept Goose in their thoughts. Your kindness has made all the difference in his journey to a happier, healthier life. Changing a dog’s life is the most important thing to us and we can’t do it alone. ☀️ Is your dog's muzzle summer ready? ☀️ We know this will be a lot of dogs' first summer wearing a muzzle and it may affect how your dog copes with warm weather. While most cases of heatstroke are caused by over-exertion, this could be compounded by the type and fit of the muzzle your dog wears. Here are a few checks and considerations for using a muzzle safely in hot weather! 🐶 Symptoms of heatstroke include heavy breathing, excessive drooling, lethargy or stupor, vomiting and collapse. If your dog shows signs of heatstroke contact your vet immediately. 🌡 To provide emergency first aid, move the dog to a cool area and apply small amounts of tepid, not cold, water to the dog with your hands or a wet towel. Do not pour water over your dog or immerse them in water, it is important to bring their temperature down gradually. 💧 If you think it might be too hot to exercise your dog, don't take the risk! 💚 Please share with friends who have muzzled dogs! 🐕

How adorable does Ellie look cooling off today with one of our Pupcicles?! You can make this super easy snack for your pooch during this heatwave at home. All you need is some ice lolly moulds, 250g natural sugar-free yoghurt, 2 apples and a couple of carrots. Blitz together the yoghurt and apple before pouring into the moulds and popping in a carrot stick.
