🐾 Meet my brave little friend, a 3-year-old Bichon Frise who just had his second house-call groom with me. His owner reached out last time because even after going to traditional grooming salons every 5 weeks since he was a puppy, he still felt anxious and stressed about the whole process. Sometimes, the hustle and bustle of a salon can be overwhelming, and a home environment, with familiar sights, smells, and his favorite human by his side, makes all the difference.

Today, with the same patience and understanding, we made some amazing progress — no cone of shame this time! He’s still not too thrilled with his head and front legs being touched, but it’s all about baby steps!

Big shoutout to this little champ for being so brave today, it just goes to show that when you read a dog’s body language and work with them at their pace, grooming can be a positive experience. Here’s to more stress-free, happy grooms for our furry friends! 🥰🐶✨

We’ve experienced what feels like a week of fireworks already 🤦‍♀️ and we all know loud noises can turn our pets into little bundles of nerves, so if you need a helping hand, here’s how to help them stay calm:

1. Safe Spots 🏠: Set up a cozy hideaway where they can retreat—blanket, favorite toy, the works!
2. Mask the Noise 🎶: Close curtains and play calming music or TV to muffle the bangs.
3. Distractions 🦴: Keep them busy with treat puzzles or chew toys—something to focus on besides the loud noises.
4. Stay Calm 🧘‍♀️: Pets pick up on our energy, so stay calm and let them come to you if they want comfort.
