So recently we received some amazing news. We have been awarded one of the top 3 dog training facilities in Calderdale. As a non profit organization who rely on volunteers to support in the running of our academy we feel incredibly honoured to achieve this!

I cannot express how fun today was. Thank you for everyone that came and showed up. I cannot believe the effort that was made for the fancy dress segment. I don't even think my Halloween costumes have been this good!!! ❤️💕

The show is in full swing, pop down and enjoy a lovely day full of of puppies and people who love puppies!
With a fun dog show,
Fastest recall and stalls inside and out.
A kitchen to grab some lunch and tea and coffee.

ITS SHOW WEEK!

This SATURDAY (10TH) we are hosting our first ever DOG SHOW at: st johns community hall Brighouse HD6 1HN.

We have 10 categories including some fun ones like audience vote and Fancy dress.
We have also got some goodies for sale, and some games for you to get involved in.

We hope to see you all there from 10am!
JUDGING STARTS AT 12PM

just to note this will be a cash only event, we will not have any card readers (I am sorry).

What an amazing day! Thank you to all those who came to see us at the Gala today and those who participated. I would also like to thank our judge Melissa Foster. Obviously massive thank you to Graham who without, none of the academy would be possible. To our stall managers, committee members, and trainees who donated their time to make the whole day run, thank you too! What a wonderful event!!

Hopefully we will get to see some of you at our show on the 10th august at St John's community hall.

Just a reminder that Brighouse Gala this year will be running next Saturday. Instead of welholme park it will be held at Lane Head Rec, Halifax road, Brighouse, HD6 2ED. This is free entry this year. Tickets for entry into the dog show will be £2 per entry. We cant wait!!

Each course feels like it goes by so fast. Our next 6 week course will be starting the 21st June! These courses also include a home visit to ensure the initial training is given with enough support. Get this visit in early so that you have more time to practice. Call Graham on 07490719852 to claim one of the remaining places.

Our next training course begins on the 21st June and runs over six weeks. Booking has already begun, please call Graham on 07490719852 for more information or to secure your place. The training includes 6 hour long group sessions and a home visit to get the training right for your pup. The earlier you book in the sooner your home visit can be arranged!

He is the biggest reason that Graham and family started the Happy Dog Training Academy in 2019 after being asked on so many occasions how Fly got to be so well behaved (I’d like to say it was all Graham however Fly is has always been the most chilled out boy I’ve ever met) 💚💚 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR FLY!

The amazing Kayleigh who runs out tiktok made this beautiful tiktok of our training classes for week 3 and I love it. We try to make sure out classes have space so each dog has their own area to work without too much emotional distress. However we still put a high emphasis on the need to socialise our pets and take time to include this in our classes ❤️

After just 8 weeks training, 20 week old Bailey Border Collie puppy's heel work is really good, congratulations on gaining your certificate. Look forward to you both moving forward to our advanced classes.

2 Day Master class. We have limited places Available. Contact 07490 719752 Due to the incredible number of pets brought over the last year, we at The Happy Dog Training Academy, have become concerned. We have become concerned with the number of pets that have become either unsocialized or have separation anxiety. We have decided to run a weekend “foundation training courses”, to give you the insight into the reasons for dog’s behaviour and allow you amend any behaviour problems, or avoid problems starting. This training course provides useful insights, tips, advice, knowledge, and the skills that you will need to enhance your present skills and will provide increasing benefits to you and your dog, there are a range of specializations skills available to those interested in training there pets. This foundation course describes many different aspects of training and the underpinning of behavioural training, while providing useful information on how to deal with many common problems in the dog. It will include a full six week course for you to follow. In Heel Work, Sit and Down Stay, Recall. Teaching Brain Training to you dog. A vital skill to have. (A Skill Dog Trainers Do not wont you to have). A course like this could cost many hundreds of pounds. We at The Happy Dog Training Academy ( Community Project) Require a Donation of £75 for the full 2 Day Course. We are hoping to hold the weekend course on the 18TH AND 19TH SEPTEMBER . From 9am untill 4pm

Wash your hands if anyone pets your dog

Just an update on this dam, virus although it is not transmitted to dog or cats. It can be transmitted to the pets coat, and then to you. Avoid people touching your pet. Especially puppies. WASH YOUR HANDS WHEN YOU GET HOME.
